Tippmann Arms is also supposed to make really nice dedicated AR 22s in both rifle and pistol format.

I have been considering a Tippmann AR22 but just ordered a Bear Creek upper and a couple of magazines for about half the cost. I hope they prove satisfactory.

I've built 3 of the CMMG dedicated 22lrs, pretty darn accurate and a heck of a lot of fun! Usually the favorites when out shooting!

I have a Compass Lake 22lr target upper with a Walther barrel. It used the Army M261 bolt minus the chamber adapter. I use it for smallbore and Mini Palma matches.

I got a 22lr bolt kit frome Bore Buddy because if I decide to go with a dedacated plinking upper, I can use the bolt kit instead of having to buy an entire full upper. With the exception of a stainless 1\7 target upper, all of my 5.56 barrels are 1\9 twist. I've got the Bore Buddy bolt in one of the 5.56 uppers and it's a 2" gun at 50 yards with bulk ammo.
