Don't know if this is a good deal but I know there are some SCAR owners here that it might interest -

https://www.apexgunparts.com/s...-nato-excellent.html

They also have some SIG 516 upper receivers, bolt carriers, and barrel assemblies available for "sale" prices.

Good deal or not, have no idea. But, it’s used.

Apex is a surplus site. I don't think they sell anything new - except some of their ammo. offerings.

It'll be for those that know about these parts as to whether it's worth it or not. Just passing on what might be a deal to someone.

This is really a forum issue, but why would you pick this specific part to post? There are a zillion parts new and used for sale. I get if someone thinks its a once in lifetime deal and they are an expert in the pricing of that specific part, but that's not true here.

It isn't just the SCAR assembly. My post included the deal for the SCAR part as well as SIG 516 parts because I know we have forum members that have these firearms.

I don't understand why you don't understand a forum member posted some deals that might be of interest to another forum member that doesn't receive the Apex flyer and has no idea said deals exist.

I don't have any ties to Apex. I was merely passing on information that other forum members might find useful. If you find that offensive or troubling, I don't know what to say to you.

^^^^ Totally agree with you. Was wondering “what in the world”, when I saw hrcjon’s post last night.

I have a SCAR 17S, know nothing about Apex, saw your OP and thought initially that might be interesting to have as a spare.

It wasn't offensive or troubling to me in the least. And if my reply seemed out of line in someway I apologize for that. I appreciate the opinion of two long term members on the issue and I won't comment further on this issue.
My thinking, if it matters is that one of the main differences on SigForum is that the signal to noise ratio is very high. And in general I consider reposting of for sale items where its easy to find them otherwise somewhat noise. If I was looking for a used SCAR17 barrel assembly I would just search for that and there is the APEX one as well as a bunch of others of course.
If it was a rare or unusual part not visible in the ususal ways of finding parts I would feel differently. Again if it seemed offensive in some way I am sorry. But I think posting items like this common, not unusual, not obviously cheap or rare, and easily found when shopping is not enhancing the forum.
