A friend recently pointed me to Bear Creek's web site for some small parts, and I took a meandering path through their web site. While there, I found a .22WMR bolt-action rifle under their brand. (Bear Creek link) It looks pretty interesting. I'll say, this looks a lot like a 10/22 clone to me. I've looked at Ruger's site -- I don't see anything in .22WMR other than the Ruger American Rimfire or Ruger Precision Rifles. What do you guys think? Anyone got one of these, or some other rifle from Bear Creek? Is this truly a clone, or am I just thinking that on account of its appearance and the rotary magazine? Am I just being silly looking into one of these? Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.

I’m going back 10+ years, reviews on BCA were mixed at best. I have never owned anything from them, looked at a few. Over the years I’ve made due with lower end guns, most have turned out ok. Some of those were Taurus, Kahr, PSA offerings, maybe others. My opinion is just from reading & talking. Most of us don’t need the very best(whatever that is) to get by.

These are semiautomatic guns not bolt guns. It is a clone of the discontinued 10/22 Magnum. I am pretty sure the 10/22 magnum was discontinued because it was a jammomatic no matter what they did. I would love one but looks like Bear Creek may have the same issue. There are a couple videos on the YouTube with feeding issues. One fella thinks it’s the magazines. Someone in the reviews on the BC says they have issues feeding the last round and they too think it’s the mags not the gun. I have a Bear Creek .350 legend upper that was stupid cheap. However I have no gotten it to work properly. However I do think it’s a C Products magazine issue. I have since bought a Wilson Combat (Lancer modified) magazine I have just not had a chance to try it out. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Thank you for that. I was thinking there had been a 10/22 Magnum at some point. I didn't know it was unreliable. I used to have a 77/22 in .22WMR -- I don't need a 22 Magnum, but I halfway keep an eye out for one. I'll keep looking for another 77/22, I think. Had a Bear Creek 6.5 Grendel barrel that grouped 4-6" at 100 yards. Dropped a Faxon barrel into that same rifle, changed nothing else, and the groups dropped to 1.5-2". Also had a 5.56 barrel from them on a ultra-budget parts-bin build that didn't group much better than that Grendel. I won't buy another. ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer.

Not sure about the 10/22 but the side charging uppers I bought have been accurate and run flawlessly. Absolutely well worth what I paid.

There are better calibers than 22WMR. There are better suppliers than Bear Creek Arsenal. Pass.

I have two of their bolt action upper receiver and bolts, and both are well made, though I wish they would have chopped off more of the bolt carrier tail. I cannot speak outside of that sample but I'm happy with what I have.

I have the BCA .22mag upper on LMT lower and am deeply surprised at the accuracy I can get with Winchester white box. Not so good with CCI, but the Winchester is sub inch at 50yds. It balks a bit on function, but the first time out I ran it dry. Lubed it up and will try a range session later in the week… if I have issues, they will tune it for me. Much cheaper than the .22 mag bolt gun I was going to buy. Very happy with it. Billy

*** REVIVING MY OWN YEAR-OLD THREAD ***
I’m curious whether you got your .350 Legend upper working. I spent a while last weekend talking with a fellow who’s very interested in the .350 Legend uppers, and Bear Creek came up in the discussions. Currently, Bear Creek has a number of .350 Legend uppers offered at very reasonable prices (lowest is less than $200), and my curiosity is up. I’m not sure I need to add another caliber to the group, but if it’s suitable for deer and hogs I could be easily tempted. It can't be too relevant to your .350 Legend dilemma, but their $40 threaded Glock 19 barrel has been trouble free for me while the threaded G17 Ballistic Advantage barrel I paid three times as much for has a tight chamber and locked up the gun so solid on three different occasions that I had to hammer it open. The Bear Creek barrel finish is... not what I'd call pretty, but that barrel runs 100%. I figured it was a cheap experiment to see if the brand was worth a shit. My opinion is favorable, especially for the money. I'll probably throw together a dedicated .22 and 9mm AR using their stuff now, if that means anything. ______________________________________________ "If the truth shall kill them, let them die.” Endeavoring to master the subtle art of the grapefruit spoon.

I have not had a chance to fiddle with it. So busy anymore if I get time to shoot I just focus on my duty weapons. Hopefully summer will ease things up a bit and I can get it sorted. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Totally understood.
A good friend of mine has used about a half-dozen uppers from Bear Creek with good results lately. His start with them was sort of like yours — “let’s give ‘em a try."This message has been edited.
