Thanks! It's an old 181 series garage sale find. I did add the wood upper handguard...just couldn't stand the plastic. I've gotten 2" groups out of it at 100 yards, which isn't bad for a mini. Mostly it's fun just to plink steel with, which is why it sometimes doesn't get out as much as the more "serious" guns.

My grandfather's Winchester Model 1903 .22 Win Auto. I try to run 25 or so rounds thru it once a year (when the ammo runs out, that's all she wrote Frown)

Every rifle I own basically.

Remington bolt in 30-06.
Savage bolt in 7mm-08.
Winchester 30-30.
Remington bolt in 8mm magnum.
Savage varmint barrel in 243.
Garand(my favorite).
4- 22 caliber rifles.
Colt AR

Got on a handgun kick years ago and there's a few rifles I haven't shot in years.
I have the acreage and a dirt mound but just haven't shot them.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

I don’t shoot my Pop-pop’s Remington 550 (.22). I really should. Guess I don’t wanna break it.

My step great-grandfather's Springfield 87A, a.k.a. the "gill" gun, .22 short, long, long rifle. It's been in the family since 1945 or 46.

A Remington Ultra XS Skeet is sitting, collecting dust in my safe. I was an active Skeet/5 Stand/wobble trap guy back at the turn of the millennium. All of my clay-shooting buddies transferred and/or retired and that was that.

I need to take the old girl out soon and shoot some steel.

I have the 180 series of that rifle,

it was my first rifle (other than a bbgun) given to me when I was 14 or so,

great shooters,

and yes, it is in the far back side of the safe and I need to get it to the range as well, probably been 30yrs since I shot it

Well, this thread convinced me it's time to take the mini out and shoot it. My son and I went to the range today with the express intent of shooting the mini. I loaded the rifle, a bunch of ammo, targets, and a really heavy 1/2" AR500 steel silhouette in the truck. When we got there, there was already a guy shooting on the rifle range. He had a .22 in a bench rest and was taking notes...seemed to be doing some pretty serious work, so I opted not to bother him.

Thankfully I'd brought along some .45, so we went down to the pistol range and shot steel with my 1911 for 45 minutes until we ran out of ammo. He was still shooting, so we went and picked up brass from some of the other bays for a while, but even after that he was still hard at work, so we called it a day. Mini never got shot. I think it's cursed! Eek

I tend to shoot pistols all the time. When I do shoot rifles, its usually ARs. My bolt guns and shotguns have been sitting for a few years. I stopped hunting deer and ducks after my family got sick of eating all the venison and teal. Decided to give it a break for a few years. Since I’m not hunting, there’s little reason to shoot them. There is a place near here that has a 300-500 and a 600 yard range. I should probably take my 700 5R Milspec out there shoot some paper for fun.

Larue Tactical 20 inch .308. Lucky if I take it out once a year. Have a 600yd range at my club but it has been closed for repairs the past 6 months. It is a fantastic shooter, just wish I used it more.

I went this route as well. I can't remember if the .308 chassis can be upgraded to the "magnum" calibers, though. Mine is in .300 Win Mag and is chock full of awesome. It's only been shot 17 times, and could really use some range time.

The chassis is the same for all calibers. The chassis was made for 338LM. So we have the same chassis, just different calibers. I have the full 308 setup and 2 338LM mags. If I could ever get my 338 barrel/bolt it'd be set for both calibers. If the German gov't would quit this bs, and prices stabilized I wouldn't mind having the 223 setup also. It could be the only bolt I own. Sometimes I am tempted to sell it because of this situation.

Honestly, all of them.

My pistols get a lot of love but between facilities, time, and ammo cost, I very rarely shoot anything with a stock.

Years ago, probably 20, I had the urge for a plains game rifle for Africa. I love Browning rifles and bought a Safari Grade made in 1959 and unfired, 270. Took it to the range, it zeroed fine, took it home and never shot it again. My illusions of Africa died with my move to Utah and no desire to hunt.

It sits in a Boyt case with a new 3x9 Leupold. Sure is pretty to look at, though.

I guess I should add my Service ARs. I am getting too old to drop into sitting and prone AND get back up.
