So AI was no help, but you fellas can probably answer this. I see photos on USPSAs social media of guys shooting AR style PCCs that use what looks like a standard 556 pattern magazine that is patterned for 9mm. The magazines have a built in spacer for the rest of the area that done feed rounds.

Basically it looks like a full sized magwell and looks like it allows a standard mag pouch to be used.

On Glocks, I noticed that the triggers seemed to gritty. I also noticed the ambi slide lock lever seemed to rub up and down as you started back on the trigger. I mentioned it my Glock rep and later to the Glock instructor at a MOS Instructor course. All stated they’d never heard about it before. However, the MOS instructor replaced all my internals for free.

I noticed that the AR bolts were gritty so when I got a new pistol, I used SLIP2000 exclusively. I’m above 18k, plus that many dry fire reps and people that shoot it swear that it’s an aftermarket trigger. I carried a 19 when I was in D’s. The trigger got horrible as I described. I dunked it in the ultrasonic and lubed it with Slip, and the trigger smoothed out. I’m a believer that Lucas was the problem.

I’ve still got Lucas in the range shed, and still use it on AR bolts when people show up with dry guns.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for that. Haven't noticed it yet, but I haven't been using mine as hard as you.

Try searching "9mm AR conversion magazine". There are several companies that offer these: CMMG, Mean Arms, Heresy Design, etc.

Lets you use a 9mm upper on a standard AR lower, plus use standard AR mag pouches.

The one in that Instagram post you linked to is the Mean Arms ExoMag.

Mean Arms also offers their EndoMag conversion kit that turns a standard 5.56 PMAG body into a 9mm AR magazine.

I use the CMMG Mean Arms Endomag conversion in my 9mm PCC. They offer versions with and without a built-in ejector, but my CMMG RDB build has an ejector in the bolt like a traditional gas rifle, so I use the ejectorless version of the mags. Most straight blowback guns will need the ejector in the mag.

I love it because it keeps the manual of arms identical, and the 9mm pmags are externally identical so they fit all your existing duty gear and pouches. Plus, you can use any regular lower you want with your 9mm upper.

The last rookie I put through firearms training had never shot a rifle before. She got hired in December, so the weather absolutely sucked, and our first day I had allotted for rifle training was just horrible outside. The indoor range isn't rated for anything over 2000fps, so what to do? Easy solution...I swapped my 9mm upper onto her M400 lower and we ran drills inside all day. When we got outside the next day and put her .223 upper back on, she already had all the controls down and we were able to move right into the ballistics stuff and quals.

Here's an article with a little more detail: https://www.shootingillustrate...nd-magazine-inserts/

Yep, Endomags. A friend of mine has a nested can CMMG set up that uses them and it's a giggle to shoot.

Size, weight, sharing caliber with your pistol. I got a sub2000 gen 3 as a fun gun. The folding is nice and its fun to shoot.

I don't have one but I can see a reason for one. I have an inherited neurological issue, a bad tremor in my hands. As a result, I shoot any handgun abysmally. So currently my HD gun is a 12ga. A PCC would give me more of a three-point mounting that (from experience I know) gives me much better accuracy. Something in a really short barreled, suppressed .45ACP is what I'm thinking. I don't know if I'm getting into SBR territory with something like that, though. And, I'm at the stage in life where I need to be "thinning the herd" some and not adding new guns (I just took possession of all my Dad's guns, and my safe is FULL).

Yes, almost certainly you'll want an SBR. There's... a whole lot of input on that which may very soon become obsolete. I would focus on picking a platform you're interested at this point, we'll have a better idea of the legalities and technicalities within a month or so regarding braced pistol vs SBR. It may all soon become meaningless.
