I finally found one that takes AR mags and at a decent price. It was $499 at Academy Sports.

I added a Leupold VXR 3-9 and loaded 3 of my favorite loads. I have to say, this rifle is a very nice shooter. Groups were a little over an inch at 100yds and under and inch at 50. This was with the trigger set from the factory. To be honest, I did not know it was adjustable down to 3 lbs until a few minutes ago Big Grin. I’ll make that adjustment and those groups will get to an inch or under. This will be my new hunting rifle with supers.

My loads are:

110gr Hornady VMax over 19gr IMR 4227

125gr Speer TNT 17gr IMR 4227

220gr Everglades FMJ over 10gr IMR 4227

The 220gr load is nice and quiet out on my SWR Trident 9.

Hornady VMax 100yds

125gr Speer TNT 50yds. The stray shot was with my suppressor attached. The other 4 went into the same hole.

Had to look it up, RARR = Ruger American Ranch Rifle Razz

I've been thinking about a 300, debating on a 10" or so AR pistol, but one of these could be a handy rifle too.

My 300 BO Ruger has way exceeded my expectations. I'm glad you are enjoying yours.

Haven't shot mine yet, but I'm looking forward to hearing (or not) how quiet it is suppressed. Big Grin

The 22 bolt gun quietness everyone claims on the forums is a joke. I have 22 suppressors that I use on my 16 CZ 452 and with CCI quiet 22, you truly get that Hollywood sound. My 300 blk does not even come close to that with subsonic loads. Simple physics will not let that happen. You are shooting a much larger bullet with more powder. You simply cannot get the same sound signature. I will say however, it is still very quiet and you could shoot it all day without ears. It sounds a little quieter than a suppressed 9mm to me.

I suspect you'll find that the 110 Vmax loads will be among your most accurate.

Bingo. 300blk is different than 22lr.

No hearing a pin drop.
No hearing a mouse fart in the next field.
No giggling like 13 year old girl on TikTok. Well, hopefully.

Suppressed subsonics are very quiet compared to the 160-ish dB of many gunshots, but a shot is still being fired.

You all did see the grin after my post, right? I have some experience with suppressed, subsonic .300blk. Granted, probably nowhere as much as you but I have two .300blk ARs that I HAVE gotten to shoot.

I still think my RARR will be quieter. Big Grin
