My local gun store had this Poverty State Atmory rifle for $340 on the wall.
I said it’s mine!
Added a set of BUIS sights and have a Geissele two stage trigger on order now.

Para’s gun inspired me to hunt something similar.

What scope is that? What type of groups are you getting? It looks like it would be a fun little rifle as the price is right.

The longest I’ve shot it is back of my range.
Which is more of a pistol range.
It has a LVPO red dot on it that was on it when I got it.
It’s an OK optic. I’ll buy a better one later.

For $340, I'd have brought that home, too.

Once tested & vetted, likely be just fine. Years ago I bought a discounted AR from PSA, did a checkout, then gave it to my son. It has been fine.

Many AR’s live a life of plinking at 30-75 yards. It usually doesn’t take $2000 to be viable with that type of use.

Is that stock configuration mustache friendly?
If so, I want one!

I have a poverty pony myself and they are not bad guns. You did really well for the money you paid.

It's funny that the ar-15 platform has become so cheap and the ak-47 has increased in price. I remember getting my first inexpensive ar-15 at $600 used and there were Romanian ak-47 rifles dealers couldn't give away for $100.
