https://finance.yahoo.com/mark...-arms-130000241.html https://www.guns.com/news/2026...son-buys-savage-arms I know there are a lot of Savage rifle fans, for good reason. In general, good things don't typically come from acquisitions like this, but we'll have to wait and see. There ain't much difference in the man I want to be and the man that I really am.

I mean Smith did such great things with Thompson Center… My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

I haven’t followed each one but there have been more than a handful of firearms manufacturers mergers in the last 20 years. I thought a little went on with ammo manufacturing too. There has been the same even with reloading powder, Hodgdon seems to be a biggie. I had a professor in college that was kinda annoying. He did have a saying that’s kinda true though, ‘the only thing constant is change’. I realize he wasn’t the first. I’m not really big on Savage, but own a few, old & new, a very storied line.

Let’s hope they don’t change the style of a great rifle to include a “Hillary Hole”. S&W really shot themselves in the foot with that Saf-T-Hammer bullshit. -------- After the game, the King and the pawn go into the same box.

Hopefully they won’t meddle in savage too much. While definitely on the lower end, every one I have had shot better than the value pricing would suggest. I have a box stock MKII that I have shot perfect 40x40 scores in silhouette with. Pretty satisfying for a sub $300 rifle.
