Building your own is very rewarding and you can get exactly what you want.

If it is within your budget, I recommend getting a lower parts kit that is without the mil spec fire control group. Go ahead and spring for a good aftermarket trigger like a Hiperfire, Larue, Geissele, etc. It is one of the best upgrades that you can make to an AR.

You should save roughly 50 bucks if you can find a LPK that is sans the mil spec fire control group, which will help cover the cost of a good trigger.

I used this kit on the last lower I put together. I had a trigger and grip.
