I'm a bit late to this discussion, but I caught the sale back in the spring and ordered 200 rounds of 64gr 24448 (price had gone up to $10.99 but was still a great deal). I am a guy who said it is irresponsible to shoot a deer with a .223. Repeatedly.
Last week I took my BDL Varmint Classic to a friend's property to shoot coyotes during deer season and was sitting with said friend when a doe walked out at about 60 yards. He had a tag and asked me to shoot it. An upper neck shot with this round completely destroyed the vertebrae and the deer instantly dropped, never to move on its own again. The exit wound was larger than I expected.
