Pipe Smoker“This post has been edited …”. messages aren’t appearing
An interesting thing. I edited this post several hours after its original posting:
https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...420074305#8420074305But there’s no “This post had been edited …” message. I think that I’ve seen that on other recent posts too.
Not complaining, just an alert about a possible problem.

12131I've noticed that's been happening, but not all the time, though. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, yeah, hours later, and that's what's strange about it.

ensigmaticI
suspect SF's web board software's database might need some attention. The software
appears to be increasingly exhibiting minor aberrant behavior.
E.g.: I signed up to get notifications for posts to SIG Forum Office some time ago. I was getting them for a while, then I wasn't anymore. The control panel says I'm still signed up for them. Unsubscribed and re-subscribed. Nope. It shows I'm subscribed--it just never sends anything.
(I
do get notifications for posts to The Classifieds, however. *shrug*)
Then, a while back, there was
Not getting notifications., where he turns notifications on, the software tells him his prefs have been updated, but, when he goes back to check he has no notifications set.

RogueJSKEditing any post <1 hour from its initial creation doesn't result in the "edited post" notation, which has been the case for as long as I can recall.
But I've also noticed more recently that editing a post that contains UBB code (such as image tags or formatting tags) >1 hour from its creation sometimes - maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the time - doesn't result in the "edited post" notation. I have only noticed this within the last 6-12 months or so, but that could just be that I wasn't paying attention previously. (And while I've only ever seen it on edited posts containing UBB code, this may just be my perception and not just be limited to those, since I don't typically edit all that many posts hours later.)
The seemingly inconsistent and apparently recent nature of it, combined with the fact that I've only seen it happen with posts that contain UBB tags, makes me think that ensigmatic could be correct that it may be related to some quirk/bug that the forum software has developed recently.
