patwBlue Python
On another Youtube video, the finish looks terrible. I don't know if it is the lighting or the way it was polished but the bluing doesn't look right.

arfmelHere’s a picture from the video. It appears that whoever polished it didn’t know what they were doing.

HK AgDoes anyone know, is there still a Colt custom shop? I ask, because I always wanted an engraved Colt as a kid. I wonder if one will be able to order an engraved Python in Blue in the future.

AUTiger89It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.
Seriously, I've been wanting one blued since the new ones came out. They look fantastic.

monoblokI'm pretty much in as well. I very much would like a new production 4.25" blued to counterpoint with my mid-80s 4" blued. Hopefully Colt works out the nuances of the bluing finish work process before the guns actually go live. From that snipped pic the finishing on that preproduction example looks atrociously awful. Or hires a better photo crew to work out more complimentary lighting. It comes off looking like wavy and dinged sheetmetal automotive bodywork, only amplified about 1000 times.

There are a few 4.25" models on Gunbroker. Both have 3 slots.

dking271This just made the list of potential purchases along with an Anaconda. Hope they get the bluing correct.

OgieI just saw two more versions of the Python, not blued, but interesting. A 3", non-fluted stainless Python with what looked like VZ grips and night sights, and a 2.5" stainless Python with Service grips. That one looked real nice too. Decisions, decisions.
