The combat model comes as a double stack 15 plus 1 rounds in SA/DA. I was curious if anyone has one and if they like it and thoughts of carrying.

Nice little gun. A bit bulky for a 380, but I sometimes carry a Beretta 84, so I shouldn't criticize. I had one for a couple of years. It never malfunctioned.

The recoil impulse of the bersa 380s I’ve shot has been unpleasant. I don’t know what it is but it’s worse than a subcompact 9mm. I’d rather shoot a j frame magnum than those. ----------------------------------------------------------- TCB all the time...

It’s because all the Bersa .380’s are blowback guns which inherently have more “snap”.

Addressing quality of Bersa guns in general: I was gifted with a Bersa Thunder Pro .40, and was ready to be severely underwhelmed. I was mistaken...this is a truly well made and entirely serviceable carry piece. Mine has after market night sights, and has been absolutely reliable through hundreds of rounds. Folks...it's as well made, fit and finish, as my Sigs, at just about 1/3 the price...$375 just minutes ago on GB. Accuracy is not quite as good as my Sigs (Weaver stance groups running 1.5" at 10 yds vs. 1" for the Sigs of comparable size), but still great for a combat, no nonsense carry gun. Check it out, I think you'll be surprised. YMMv Rod 5th Spl Forces, Air Force Bird Dog FAC, lll Corps RVN 69-70.... I recently purchased a used Bersa Thunder CC. I never buy used firearms unless I know the original owner, but made an exception this time since the shop owner told me he stands behind everything he sells. The gun shot great when I brought it to the range, but when I took home to clean it I could not take it apart. Brought it back to the gun shop where I bought it and he kept it for two days and called me to tell me there was nothing he could do with it. He gave me full credit toward a new Glock 42 .........it runs like a Glock

This struck me as very odd! Recently took a standard Bersa Thunder 380 to the range and some shooting characteristics seem evident. Number one it was fairly accurate at 20 yards. Number two shooting federal ball ammo and Hornady Critical Defense (90gr at 1,000 FPS) this was a low recoil comfortable gun to shoot. Third, the light recoil was a trade off because it would be less effective than a 9mm Luger. I just guess it goes to show how different people will perceive things differently.

It prangs a nerve between my forefinger and thumb. ----------------------------------------------------------- TCB all the time...

Ok, I am with you. I had issue shooting 44 Ruger SA and I lost use of right thumb for two weeks. Could be how the grip connects at or close to the nerve. PAST Recoil Protection gloves have special foam inside that reduces recoil sensation. Midway has them but they run small. I sold the 44 mag, but the gloves are nice in case Shooting bothers my hands.

My wife bought a Thunder .380 a few years ago. It stovepipes at least one round per mag. It's been in the safe unused for a couple of years. I have an Astra A70 9mm which is an awesome gun and I think one of the first really compact 9mms

Bersa has lifetime repair policy and the stovepipe issue can be fixed. They are great guns if you want a .380

My wife carried one for a few years. We still have it and I shoot it every now and then. It's been 100% reliable and the recoil isnt really any worse than any other .380 I've shot. No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain
