Want to install Hogue Grips on Sig 210A Target pistol. Want to remove Sig Factory wooden grips that are really tightly fitted. Concerned about breaking them. Can someone suggest technique?

I would tap lightly with a plastic mallet.

Maybe remove the Slide from the Receiver and put it in the freezer for a while. You'd probably get a couple (few?) thousandths of shrinkage on the Frame by freezing it, which would make it MUCH easier to get those tight fitting Target Grips off w/o much effort/concern.

This of course 'could' be bad for the Grips though (not sure) especially if you're in a high humidity area, so I suggest you should research the effect(s) of freezing cold on the Wood Grips prior to doing so, just in case.
