Want to install Hogue Grips on Sig 210A Target pistol. Want to remove Sig Factory wooden grips that are really tightly fitted. Concerned about breaking them. Can someone suggest technique?

Thank you.

I would tap lightly with a plastic mallet.

Maybe remove the Slide from the Receiver and put it in the freezer for a while. You'd probably get a couple (few?) thousandths of shrinkage on the Frame by freezing it, which would make it MUCH easier to get those tight fitting Target Grips off w/o much effort/concern.

This of course 'could' be bad for the Grips though (not sure) especially if you're in a high humidity area, so I suggest you should research the effect(s) of freezing cold on the Wood Grips prior to doing so, just in case. Wink
