Ok, call it COVID quarantine boredom...but what guns do you use for different roles:

EDC Gun

Out in the woods carry

Nightstand Gun

Truck gun...

Here’s mine...

EDC Gun - P365 or G19

Out in the woods - Kimber TLE/RL II in 45

Nightstand gun - G19 with TLR1-HL

Truck gun: I’m in CA - not legal here...but if I could it would be my Marlin 336

Just trying to pass away the boredom.

A few months ago I switched my EDC gun, gone are my Glock 19s, replaced by Shadow Systems MR918s. Carry from sunup to sundown, then it goes on the nightstand.

My S&W Model 38 Bodyguard (original bodyguard) is my "I'm not carrying a gun" gun. Can also fill the BUG role if I ever need.

My wife's list is even shorter - Glock 26, everyday and everything purpose gun.

In addition, we both have spares of our EDC guns.

EDC: G23
EDC secondary: P365

Nightstand: Shockwave, G23 backup

Shop gun: MPX, G23 backup

"Truck" gun: G23 with 22rd mags, except I currently don't have a truck per se. Perfectly good solution in a Volvo, Mustang, Mazdas and multiple Porsches, however. Probably works just dandy in others as well.

Common theme: G23 obviously Big Grin

Glock 19 for both carry and home.

I do carry an LCP in a front pocket holster at work due to the nature of the job that makes carrying IWB impractical.

See, when someone like jljones keeps talking about how much he shoots/uses Glocks, I question my Glock dislike. Seriously. I'm gonna be that guy who says never, but then ends up eating crow and posting on the "You Will Buy A Glock" thread.

But, for now... Smile

Nightstand: Usually my P365, but sometimes my Glock if it's during my workweek.

Work - Glock 17 Gen 5. Shot really well for me last week in training...and that's even after a few months of COVID training bans. Hard to not like this gun with a Talon rubber grip and a TLR-1HL.

Range - Beretta PX4 full size, lately. Comes back on target almost as well as my VP9, but seems to twist a bit more in hand than the HK.

EDC - SIG P365MS with a 12rd mag and grip adapter. The 10rd mags ride in it when it's my backup at work. It's a little gun that shoots like a big gun. Went on a very long hike last week and I hardly even noticed I had it in a Vedder IWB. A very good pistol.

Like they say - beware the man with 1 gun...he likely knows how to use it.

I can attest my G19 is my best shooting gun. Just a tad big for me to conceal consistently.

Rock on jjones

EDC: P2000sk
Woods: LAR Grizzly 45 win mag
Nightstand: P2000sk or VP9 Sometimes a SIG Pro. If I'm feeling tacticool I'll put a USPct with my KAC CT suppressor in the nightstand. That doesn't happen much.

I'm a fan of your taste in pistols, but I'm curious...what's your kind of rifle? BCM? Colt? Larue?

Work- G21 and LMT Defender
Occasionally, if I'm doing "real police work", I'll have a G-30 or a 340pd as a backup

EDC- primarily a G19, if not its a Ruger LCP or a 340pd.

Home.... Well, there's a little more of a variety

If I'm going somewhere fancy, I have a nice custom 1911.

Work: gen4 Glock 31 with TLR-7A and Trijicon RMR.

EDC Gun: gen3 Glock 32 with TLR-7

Out in the woods carry: gen3 Glock 32 with TLR-7

Nightstand Gun: suppressed Glock 21 w/TLR-1HL

Truck gun: no truck but I keep my old HK VP9 in a safe behind the back seat where the wind deflector normally goes. This is just for those occasions when I forget to grab my Glock 32.

I’m trying out a Glock 45 with TLR-7A and Trijicon RMR to replace my 32.

Not minority enough!

EDC - usually P365 and sometimes G48 or G19

Out in the woods - same as carry gun. Nothing much to worry about in the woods here.

Night stand - G21 or 19X with TLR’s

“Truck gun” - none, sold my pickup truck and don’t leave a gun in my other vehicles.
