Although I've supported FedEx over the years due to their Steller performance, this is nothing more than woke crap, and the dislike for the 2A and honest, non criminal people who are entitled to their rights by the constitution. Sadly, I feel they don't give a crap. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

Not from a private corporation. Private Corporations can do whatever they want. If what they want violates any law, they have the money and resources to change that law. "Ninja kick the damn rabbit"

Seems like I remember back before everybody used debit cards you would go into a store and pay with a check and the clerk would ask to see your DRIVER'S LICENSE! Heaven forbid they now know your address.... oh wait that was already on the check... get a grip guys... it means nothing... they already know more about you than you can even imagine. Just something some bean counter came up with to aggravate the drivers... will solve nothing. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

I am going to pile on the equus cacas camp. Pun intended, possibly... We are approaching a time and place in our grand republic's journey that will be in the least, unpleasant for freedom-minded individualists. We are all being tracked and traced beyond belief. I have no reasonable expectation of privacy. The only way we can push back is with our dollars. I am making a conscious effort to pay for as much as possible in cash. Utilities and like, are not so easy, however, I am trying. Given the impending onslaught of new ABC agents with firearms, should they come to audit me, I will happily turn over my bank records and the proverbial shoe box full of receipts with a smile. ---------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. I just received a return shipment from a gunsmith which required a FedEx adult signature. The driver asked for my DOB then had me sign electronically on his handheld device. Contrary to the letter Q received from SIG Sauer, FedEx did not scan my driver's license nor did they ask to see any form of ID. I'm curious, beginning 09-01-2022 has anyone actually had the FedEx driver scan their D/L? Thanks!

I sent my 365 back to Sig just when Q posted this. Quick turn around at Sig factory. I missed FedEx on the 1st day. Drove home to catch him on the 2nd attempt. I caught the driver sitting in his truck on lunch break. I said--I think you have a package for me ...He just hands me the package--no signature ,no ID. I flash my drivers license just because--didn't sign anything. No scanning of drivers license.

So, basically they're not enforcing their so-called new policy and just leave it up the the driver's discretion? Sounds good to me. Q

probably a good thing I don't have a cut |
Just because they aren't enforcing it now doesn't mean it won't be enforced later. Having the policy in place means it will be used eventually. It's just a matter of time.

It sounds good to me as well. I found this little tidbit on the FedEx website: "If you decline to have your ID scanned at delivery, your age will be verified by the driver by manually entering your date of birth. The driver will also manually enter your first initial and last name." It appears my driver opted to enter my age manually rather than requesting to electronically scan my ID. I would not be surprised to learn the drivers are receiving a fair amount of customer resistance to the new company policy.

This happened to me a couple weeks ago at work. FedEx Express wanted my DL for a delivery. I politely explained that it was none of FedEx's business what my DOB was, as this was a company shipment, and not for me personally. I handed it off to someone else, who I assumed gave their info. I don't buy that they aren't keeping track of all of this.
