I bought mine 37 years ago. Been a long long time since I pulled it out of the case. I did a quick field strip to look it over, and glad I did. The polyurethane buffer pad disintegrated in my hands. So, I look for a replacement pad. I was surprised by the amount of companies that make after-market parts for these guns. I even got a bigger button for the bolt, which I always disliked. Anyone else replace the buffer pad? It seems pretty straight forward, just use a punch to knock out the spring retainer pin. ___________________ "He who is without oil, shall throw the first rod" Compressions 9.5:1

The M11 has experienced quite the renaissance in the last several years, thanks to companies like Lage producing radically different uppers.

Yeah, I had to replace mine. I bought a sheet of neoprene or something and cut a square out of it. LMK if you want some and I'll send you a hunk if I can find it. --------------------------- My hovercraft is full of eels.

Goodness, I had no idea the SWD M11 had escalated in value like that. I looked up some used ones on various sites... Woah! I bought mine for 250.00 back in the day... ___________________ "He who is without oil, shall throw the first rod" Compressions 9.5:1

Got mine in 1986 for $169.00 Me and 2 friends picked up 3 with consecutive serial numbers. I'm the only one that still have one. and I too had to replace my buffer. Came apart while shooting it and the bolt knob came up and locked it up.

Rogue, you are an evil man! It led me down a rabbit hole. Here is my 37 year old rig: Then I found this: Adjustable sights, side cocking, and a rail. Now I have this: ___________________ "He who is without oil, shall throw the first rod" Compressions 9.5:1

Now you need one of Lage's 31k uppers... 71 round Suomi drums make it even easier to turn your 9mm ammo into smoke, noise, and ear-to-ear grins.

Wait, what? |
I have an SWD M11 sub gun from the mid 90’s. Seeing what class III stuff is bringing, I am seriously tempted to let it go. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown
