No need to lawyer up. The design patent has already been granted. If it looked too much like the P365 SAS, the application wouldn't have been approved.

HK ain't gone copy SIG!

A video where Larry Vickers proclaims it the best striker fired pistol on the planet after 500 rounds should be released shortly. Big Grin

Um...okay. Welcome to the already crowded market space, HK. Better late than never...I guess.

Maybe they'll decide to make 'em here instead of there. Anything to improve the already lackluster delivery cycles that exists for the rest of their model lineup.

I would not bet on this. When HK discovered the one way street they follow with the P7 and P9 they introduced a pistol concept SIG start with the P220 series, which became standard for almost 20 years. An example is the introduction of the Webley barrel lock in Browning type pistols.

Also, HK is probably still paying royalities for the magazine coupling links on G36 magazines.

At least if HK does make a micro compact you can be pretty sure it will be reliable, and the they will be manufactured consistently. But due to size and import regulations they will probably have to be manufactured in the US.

Have 2 30SK's...one with all the bells and whistles ...one with their LE Lite trigger system.
The standard DA/SA Trigger is HORRIBLE but made as a LE backup to be used as a last resort in a high stress situation so the heavy trigger is acceptable.

The Lite LE trigger system is MUCH Better....imho.

Their lawyers and management are extremely cautious. If they come out with a new CCW mini...it better have a decent trigger. Their exisiting and well established competitors have a some very good trigger systems already.

My preferred shtf EDC is a modded S&W Shield .45 that is dead balls on accurate and reliable.

And much cheaper than my HK's with a lot more aftermarket mods available.

HK will sell whatever they make. But their competitors, like Sigs' 365 already have a very well established market domination...and a much better customer support attitude.
