Three on, one off |
I’ve owned or own the following: 220 45 226 9mm 229 40/357 230 239 9mm 239 40 245 2340 40 320 9mm 365 Favorite is the 9mm 226 and least favorite would be the 239 in .40 (just Because I didn’t shoot it well, and it is a heavy gun for the capacity.)

My first SIG was as a result of firing a SIG P220 .45 at an agency range in 90s. I soon bought my own after being astounded at how well it shot and how it felt in my hand. I have never looked back.... P220 .45 P226 9mm P239 .40/357Sig P365 9mm 556 5.56mm My favorite is still the P220...was my carry gun in vehicle and under jackets for years...even carried under untucked shirts. Then I went to the P239 to help out during Summer months when hiding a big .45 was a bit of a challenge. Soon thereafter I found a W.German P226 that was CPO from SIG and jumped on one of my bucket list firearms as well. All are DA/SA and that familiarity and confidence I have in that action led to my purchases...no new muscle memory just react. The 365 is my first striker fired....so far so good but not sold on it as better than my DA/SA setups yet. LOL

Thanks everyone. Great love for the P220 and agreement that the P290 & P239 are least favorite. BTW, I never considered the Mosquito a Sig or it would have made my least favorite list. Retired USN Sig Sauer P229 M11A1 Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Comp S&W P365 SAS Ruger Single Six S&W 442

I own far fewer than I'd like... but finances being what they are, I'm happy that I own as many as I do. My least favorite is easy: The Mosquito is the only SIG I've ever sold. If we limit ourselves to "real" SIGs then I don't really know which one I'd pick. The flipside is a bit more difficult, because they all fill different niches and use cases but I'll go against the grain here and say that my P239 is probably my favorite. It's the second SIG and third gun I ever bought, my EDC, and while it's heavier and lower capacity than all of the wonderful tiny striker-fired marvels out there... it's dead reliable and a great shooter. I actually am thinking of getting another one just so that I have a backup and something I can use for practice without constantly having to clear and clean my carry gun.

I own or have owned: P220 P225 P226 (5) all 9mm's P228 (2) P229R in .40 S&W My favorite is the P226. My least favorite would be the P229R, just because I didn't like the rail and I'm not a big fan of the caliber. All great pistols.

and every one of them words rang true and glowed like burnin’ coal. |
I’ve owned a few Sigs over the years. I can’t say that I disliked any models that I’ve owned or gotten the chance to handle. My brother’s P225 didn’t feel great in my hand, but I get why people like it. My favorite is the Sig P220ST with the older proprietary style rail. There is just something special about it.
