Thanks for all of the replies. I did not try to move the sight and I don't plan on trying to budge it. After shooting off sand bags I found the sights to be perfectly set. The front looks to be an 8 but I can't quite see the rear number. It probably is a shallower cut for the dovetail, just not what I'm used to seeing.
