Fellow members - who do we consider as a great gunsmith for the p series pistols? Namely a few P220’s that I want action jobs and SRT’s installed. I remember a company doing their own version of the SRT called the QTR? But wanted to ask here who was reputable and gtg. Thank you.

QTR = Quick Trigger Reset, that was developed by Gerry Ritacco of Total Automation. He trained Robert Burke (aka The Sig Armorer), who is providing the service currently. https://www.thesigarmorer.com/

Robert did the action job on my P220 SAO and it is outstanding!!
He currently is doing the same work on my P226 SAO and is one of the best at action work on Sig pistols.
Highly recommended

Mr. Burke performed a competition action job on my P220 SSE, and the trigger is the smoothest I have ever owned or shot. You will not be disappointed with his work.

Robert Burke did action work on my P226 Legion, specifically his SuperStrut and Competition Package. He has also done other work on a few of my pistols, including barrel fitting, etc. He's THE MAN when it comes to work on P-series SIGs.

I have two SIG pistols that have been through Mr. Burke's shop.

  • A P938. A very smooth shooter. I can not compare before and after, as I bought this one used and it had already been worked on by Mr. Burke when I received it, so I have no direct knowledge of what the improvements were.

  • A P245. Again, I bought it used. When I received it, the DA trigger was absolutely horrible -- so bad that I was unable to hold the pistol on target while attempting to squeeze the trigger. I sent it to Mr. Burke, he worked his magic and added the QRT. The difference is night and day. It is now a very smooth shooting pistol; I carry it more than anything else that I have. Based on a sample size of one, so not statistically valid, I would highly recommend his work.

Yes, Robert worked on several of my SIGs, both Carry Action and Competition Action plus QTR. I wouldn’t have anyone else work on my SIGs.

I also had a couple of SIGs bought used from members here, a P220 MSE and a P227 SAS Carry that already had Bruce Gray’s magic on them.

You cannot go wrong with either of these two gentlemen, when it comes to SIG.

I have not had anyone do work on one of my SIG pistols. However, I handled one that had work by The SIG Armorer, and it was fantastic.

I take it that you have not had any experience with Robert Burke.

Robert has done every single one of my DA/SA pistols. Sigs, HK’s, and he did my Berettas as well (92F and PX4 Storm full/comp/sub). Every rifle that I mod, he does those as well.

Anyone that has been on this forum since near the beginning has had experience with Burke. Which is why I steer clear of him.

How about Gerry, his mentor on Sig pistols? He did a fantastic job on my German Sig P225. I wouldn't hesitate to use Robert Burke given that connection.
