I have one of these on my 'seriously want list' but I look on gun broker and do some google searches and they it just doesn't seem to exist.... or even just a slide and barrel for one would be an option. I could step down to a standard Sig P226 in SAO chambered in 357 sig and do the upgrades I guess. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

Or you could seek the far superior P229 Legion SAO in .357! LOL

I have a number of P226s one of which is a Legion in 357 sig DA/SA and a grey guns flat trigger. I have two 9mm Legion slides one of which has a Romeo sight on it.... So, I'd like a SAO legion lower.... but with a 357 slide and barrel so I will have the option of both 357 sig and 9mm as well as DA/SA and SAO in my legion collection. I've been kind of wanting to start working with a P226 SAO for a while. P229 is not the direction I want to go... more magazines to confuse me. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

SIG no longer manufactures anything in .357 SIG or .40. I found this out the hard way when I went searching for my P229 Legion in .40. Found one on Gunbroker. Your best bet is probably to keep searching Gunbroker or other classified sites to find a complete .357 Legion SAO P226, or buy a 9mm Legion SAO P226 and use the .357 slide from your DA/SA Legion P226.This message has been edited. Buy that Classic SIG in All Stainless, No rail wear will be painless. |
I bought this one here on the Forum some years ago. It's all stainless. (including the Made in Germany frame) It was produced using a leftover frame from the TXDPS commemorative model run about 2010, and has a TXDPS serial number. It is SAO and chambered in .357 SIG. Mine is not for sale. The real TXDPS commemorative model run can be seen here. https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...6031561/m/5010044274 The model I have was allegedly only sold new at the SIG Store in New Hampshire, for the sole purpose of using up the frames from the TXDPS commemorative run. The box label calls them a "Special Configuration" if I recall correctly. It is also my understanding that the TXDPS frames have all the attributes of the German X-5 and X-6 guns.
