Oh, yes, we're notorious SIG bashers around here.

You don't like the thread. The thread should have been locked immediately. Got it.

Yes, the hole is getting deeper, as no valid arguments are made, just nervous lol.
We're talking about a matter of taste, and I don't see anyone in this thread who I would characterize as nervous. Just what is your deal? Do you just want to argue? You've already as much as said this thread shouldn't even be here, so, you don't want to have a discussion at all.

Definitions from Oxford Languages
"soliloquy" = an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers, especially by a character in a play.

You are almost right Dakar (An investment in knowledge pays the best interest). Your Motto is a solid advise for some of the members.
Most of the time, posting or reacting to posts in forums is a total waste of time, maybe a good pastime for some teenagers like you say. Thank you for reminding me as I sometime forget, better spend my time with my grandkids, than arguing with armchair "experts".

I am sorry to disturb forum tranquility. I will try never do it again.

Sig just can't seem to do a "cut" slide that looks good. The Pro-Cut slides look pretty bad. The Spectre slides look a little better and the X machined into the top is kinda cool, but you think that would be part of the name.

Sig screwed up with the X-Compact naming. The regular P320 line had the full (4.7" 17 round), compact (3.9" 15 round), and subcompact (3.7" 12 round). Somewhere in there the carry (3.9" 17 round) was added.

Then the X series started with the X-Five, and then the X-Full (4.7" 17 round) and X-Carry (3.9" 17 round), and things made sense. After the P365 took off, traditional subcompacts became unviable. So the X-Subcompact was released as the hybrid X-Compact (3.7" 15 round). It is not a subcompact, but it probably should have been called something else.

As a result there is continuing confusion about names and parts sizes. With the standalone FCU's and build-your-own options on the Sig Store - do I need a compact barrel or carry or subcompact - do I need a compact, carry, or subcompact recoil assembly? If Sig standardizes to compact being 3.9" with 15 rounds which aligns to the regular P320 lineup, things will be a lot more clear. They might even consider getting rid of the 3.7" slides and barrels entirely. Since the 0.2" shorter slide doesn't really make much practical difference, and the P365XL covers that slide length.

That's a lot of typing. Look, I wasn't criticizing. I was outright saying this is a stupid gun, in a long line of stupid guns from Sig. Like everything else they've rolled out in the last decade, whether it sells or not, it'll get discontinued in about 18 months or so. I didn't say anything about Ron Cohen, or Sig Exeter. You're projecting. You can have a one-sided debate here where you don't convince anybody of anything and that's fine.

I'll say it again: this is a stupid gun. I'm sure people will buy it, and in a few years when it isn't being produced anymore, we'll still be cracking jokes about the pre-stippled gun they brought to market with the stone washed finish. You don't have to like that either, it's just the way it is.

This is the best comparison. In the late 80's my sister and her friends were paying big bucks for jeans that were pre-faded and full of holes...

Me? I wore my Buddy Lee jeans like they were intended and let them get torn and faded from crawling around the woods and underneath cars...

Thorn your vendor is falling down on the job because they are cranking them out. the only slowdown was the move to the new Rochester facility a while back. My neighbor is getting OT building them weekely.

We ordered through a major regional LE distributor. I talked to a regional sales rep from a different region at an armorer's class I went to the beginning of April, and he said not to expect to see them anytime soon...something about not being able to get barrel nuts or something. The reason behind it doesn't make much difference me....all I know is that I ordered them 6 months ago and still don't have them....and instead of finding a way to get them to me, Sig is wasting time making pre-worn finishes for P320s.
