That's cute. You want to supersize those crayons and share with the rest of the platoon?

Sorry!

I scored so high I was qualified for all but two enlisted MOS's, and warrant officer flight school. That and the Navy was blowing up my phone for their nuke program. I chose the Army and 11b. It's been 45 years since I made that decision and the only regret I have over it is I didn't go aviation. Big Grin

Congratulations. That is not an easy course and it's only the beginning.

In the past, MOS's such as Military Police, CID agents, Embassy Security Group, certain Intelligence roles, and specialized Aircrew positions qualified with a rifle/pistol. I am not sure if Civil Affairs falls under this or not.

This also included some Staff NCO's and Officers, but it was MOS dependent.

Army Finance, Rifle/Pistol/Grenade, reason we did Grenade also was because we had thermite to destroy Money/currency. Had a pistol in the cage and every time I went to the bank or field.

I don’t pretend to understand the USMC/army relationship, but now as I understand it we have to wait for June when this contract expires, and he will sign a contract with the army reserves until he gets a class date.

If he passes the year and half/two years of training, he can apparently move to an active duty billet. With Campbell being the obvious choice as it’s an hour from home.

Hmmmm…. Interesting….
Is there a funny “french” hat in the future?
Ft Campbell? 5th still there?

I don’t understand the relationship either.
I know you have to be done with one branch before you go to another.
It’s not that uncommon. 2 guys that were with me left for those Units. Nothing but good things to say about the transition.
