That's what's so cool about it. With the comp it's the length of a G19.My G19's with comps are the length of a G17. So this more comfortable to carry. Another benefit is that the shorter slide seems to cycle faster. I can track the red dot faster. All good things. It also isn't nearly as snappy as my comped G43X. So this may just be my new carry gun.

What that you've done/added to it makes it 'more comfortable' to carry? You've made it larger in every dimension...

I like and am used to a G19 so this comped is perfect for ME. Thing comped shoots flat as hell.

I have a Gen 3 Glock 26, picked it up used at my indoor range back in April of 2018. It had a grip reduction and stipple job done on it; I liked how it fit my hand. And better yet, no rear grip hump, something that I have never liked on a 26.

I EDC a 19, but this 26 was going to be a travel gun (10 round mag limit states). I really don't like short grip - 2 finger grip guns. So since then, I have sold it twice only to buy it back two times. Just kept calling my name I guess.

Lately, I was thinking of getting the 26X frame and converting it to a G26X. Looked into it, but passed. Now it's being sold to one of my clients, she tested it at the range yesterday and liked it. We will be doing the transfer after she gets her DL renewed.

If the Glock Store would have had the frames set up with all the parts already, I might have bought one, just didn't want to piece meal it together. (I believe that they did originally offer it, but don't at this time, at least the last time I checked.)

That's the new Taran Tactical 45° PubeSight™, in case the optic goes down. It will be featured heavily in the next John Wick film.

I had a G26 and bought the frame during GS holiday sale and just transferred all the parts.

Unlike everyone else, the only thing in not a fan of is the Vortex Venom. I would have spent a little more for the Defender ST CCW. Otherwise nice job. That has to be one of the softer shooting CCW rigs out there.

Yup it sure is! The Venom is the fully enclosed optic. Second one and I've had zero issues.

That’s what I’ve been wanting Glock to release forever, a G26 upper on a G19 lower. I would not add anything else to it.

The Defender does come in open and closed versions, but also doesn't have the giant deck height that annoys me about the Venom.

Nice build. Mine is a little more plain, but I do like the ergonomics of that 26x frame the GlockStore developed.

I’ve set mine up with parts from a 26/G5 and a 27/G4.

Here’s the 40cal version below, which is my choice if I’m carrying a 40cal.

Very nice. I could never shoot the regular Glock 26 confidently as the grip/hump/angle did not allow me to get a good purchase on the gun but with the 26x frame, it is no longer an issue. Even with the magazine extensions for the 26, it never felt right compared to the 19.

I debated getting those types of beaver tails for mine, as they are more slim and don't increase the size of the frame in the rear. I have a Kiral Defense beaver tail on my M1X/26X pistol and really like how it changes the angle of the grip, as well as providing protection for slide bite but it makes the grip feel larger and kind of chunkier. I sent my slide to GS for the optic cut during the holiday sale and should have also had them do the comp cut as well when it was there.

Also, if anyone is looking to get a 26x/M1X frame, GS has lowered the price on them to $99 for a while and they come in different colors.

If you're on the fence about buying one of these, allow me to be an enabler...

GlockStore has the frames on sale for half off currently. $99.99

You shouldn't have to do any cutting at all for a comp. Just get a threaded barrel and a comp for a gen 5 and you should be good to go. Mine was built on a gen 3 slide with the gen 5 comp.
