Hello all. I know this topic MUST exists on one of the threads of this forum but I can't seen to find it. My X10 mags (15 capacity) are failing after I load about 10 rounds. The magazine follower appears to stick. Any advice on a fix? Or please point me to a thread where this topic is under discussion. Thanks!
What ammo are you loading? 220gr. loads have a a reputation for being problematic in the XTen mags. My issue with them has been the slide hanging up chambering the first round when mags are loaded at 15 rounds. As a result I don’t top off after chambering a round. Figure 15 rounds of 10mm is enough and if I really need that sixteenth round, that’s what extra magazines are for.

Well, I found a solution. I have been loading 10mm w/ 200 gr Horndady XTP's over #9 powder to a COL of 1.260". I have discovered that the problem completely goes away when I load them to a COL of 1.250". I am not recommending this as a general solution - pressures may vary in unpredictable ways. But it works for me!!!!! As for the 15 round problem, I'm with you on that. That last round just won't go in. One in the chamber and 14 in the mag will handle any rogue ostrich around here.
