Almost left out the USP Expert 9mm. Have nailed golf balls at 50 yards unsupported. Trigger is not as nice as a Sig P210, or tuned CZ Shadow 2 but sometimes it is a laser beam.

My G19X, Springfield XD-9 Mod2 Tactical, and my CZ SP-01 Tactical. They make me look like I know how to shoot.

I have a few that I shoot well- but none are 'factory original'. I've changed parts, or done trigger jobs, to all of them EXCEPT the High Standard semi-autos.

Of everything I've ever shot, the High Standard 102 Trophy with 6.75" [not 8 or 10"] barrel was the one that just fit best.

Yet, I have quite a few that work really well.

I know I surprised myself and the owner when I was offered a chance to shoot a Freedom Arms revolver in .454Casul [sp] at the range.

I'd never fired that round [or any freedom arms revolver] before, and won't again [caliber- .44mag is comfortable for me], but I got a 5 round cloverleaf at 7 [or was it 10] yards my only try.

He joked that I made him look bad, but it was just a good gun and round.

I'm surprised there's not more love for the P210 here, especially since it's Sigforum. Makes me wonder if folks just haven't had the opportunity to shoot one maybe? I have the new standard model and, for just pure shooting, find it to be my all time favorite over everything else, including high-end 1911s., Hi-Powers, Berettas, etc. I'd readily get another (if prices weren't insane--I bought mine new for $900 back in 2019) and seriously consider it for EDC (saying a lot since I highly prefer da/sa).

For me, next up would probably be the 5906. There's a reason so many departments issued the Smiths: cops could qualify with them.

Then the 226, but I would need it to have a short reach trigger.

My 225a1, 239 is a close second. Used to be a 686-1 in 4”. I like every gun I own, some just shot better for me…

I shoot my full sized 1911's the best, followed by the 226 Legion SAO.
