Ignored facts still exist |
Next year I bet they will claim to have "AI technology." Also... What the Hell is this crap.
So someone with a nearby ham radio transmitter could cause a logic error in the $2 Chinese made chip they use, and boom, instant negligent discharge. I think most of our seasoned electrical engineers here are without words, especially those who have designed hi-rel, life support, or automotive devices, in which I believe this would be close in terms of design reliability needs. Especially design constraints to prevent an NG in a fly by wire system. I suppose it's possible the reporter mis-worded this, but if this is true fly by wire, then get the hell out of here with that piece of shit. Not only do I not want one, I don't want one in the same county as me. I expect some lawsuits to follow as the result of some tragic failure. Either failure to fire or an NG.

If you have kids, might be ok. Otherwise, gimmicks are dangerous... Simplicity and careful planning get my vote.

^^^ Fair enough but we have or had a better mechanical solution. A former employee had a Steyr pistol. It actually had a micro integrated lockout mechanism. He just had the key on his keychain in his pocket. Fast and effective and not subject to problems like dirty fingers, wet hands, new glasses etc. that seem to plague biometrics and facial scanners. I can see departments like NYPD, Portland, San Francisco, etc. adopting this though. __________________________

Anytime you rely on electronics/batteries for a gun to function,(not talking about rds or the like), you are asking for trouble.

I see way too many failures of ALL things electronic, especially if powered by batteries. For something my life or the lives of family members may depend on? Not a chance! ____________________________ Bill R. North Alabama _____________________________ I just can't quit grinnin' from all of this winnin'!
