Well they did it (or are doing it)

http://ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6739.html

Its nice to see another big manufacturer jump into the 10mm game. Probably wont replace my g20 but still cool nonetheless.

As long as they did their homework it'll be good to have another player in the 10mm world.

Now if they could make one chambered for 357Sig, a Commander variant, that would be very cool....

Ruger may have went to a bull barrel to slow the velocity of the slide. More weight to move during the recoil process. My $.02.

Interesting. I wonder how it will do against a RIA 51991.

At a $600.00 street price, the Rock is a bargain. I suppose the Ruger should be somewhere between $800 and $900 based on its MSRP.

Damn it all! I just bought a 200rd box of Sig 10mm ammo too!! Shit!

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

A dealer member offered up 5 of them for seven hundred and some change on Ruger forum this week for forum members. All five sold quickly that day. I almost bit but I don't like being an early adopter. For that money though these should sell like crazy.

I do not care who you are, or what gun companies you prefer, that is funny!

As I understand it, Ruger was pretty good about this issue.
