I never had any Beretta love. I did have a single stack 84 for a while, and I still have a tip-up barrel .22 Jetfire still, but that is all.

They work dirty. Don’t buy into that crap.

Yes. One of the most reliable 9mms I have ever had. I shot a lot of IDPA with mine.

Beretta 92’s are hard to make not work. Bad ammo and bad mags are the most common reasons. Even the so called bad mags aren’t so bad. Those checkmates that apparently choked in the desert work just fine being dropped in Maryland dirt. Lol and they cost like 6 bucks apiece.

Kind of like ‘em!

Sadly, the early 92 with frame mounted safety got traded off... the 92SB has however remained, and the ugly rubber has been replaced with factory walnut.

With an 85

Maybe not my first choice for a carry gun, but I would never feel bad if it was all I had. After all, there is the aforementioned yippie ki yay factor!

I have a former LE 92fs. Looks a bit rough around the edges, but shoot great. Would never be without a 92

Always loved me some Beretta. First gun I ever shot was a Beretta M9 in Air Force tech school.

The 92 is the most beautiful pistol extant. And one of the most reliable, glocks notwitstanding. And to ruin this post completely, I have still not bought a glock, though I know it is inevitable by any standard.

I think the odds have been stacked against the Beretta once it was adopted by the military. There were too many die hard 1911 guys that wanted it to fail. In addition, there were far, far too many mistakes by the military that were blamed on the pistol.

I have two that I can't find any flaws with (I've been looking). I'm going to give the entire lineup a second look to see if there is anything I missed out on.

I love them except they just do not fit my hand well. None of the double stack varieties - but that's me. Beautiful design, some of the smoothest factory slides ever, good shooters, plenty of variety.

Do yourself a favor and go to a local shop and handle a 92G Elite LTT. Upper beavertail relief + utlrathin grips + profiled trigger guard = a whole new thing. Add the LTT TJIAB kit for short reset and it's pretty amazing. Or don't if your wallet is shy lol.

Seriously though....the full backstrap M9 with bulky grips is uncomfortable for me too even with XXL hands. The LTT and M9A1 frames just feel better.

When I got on the Beretta train about 18 months ago, I wanted a Langdon Elite LTT. I found out that Ernest's guns were Gallatin, TN guns, and at that time, there were some problems with finish, machining, etc., so I passed and went for an Italian made M9A3. It's my understanding that the Gallatin guns are much improved now, but I have no regrets buying this M9A3. It's a pig to carry, but I do so in a JM Custom Kydex OWB 2 with an X300. It's unbelievably soft shooting and the reliability has been 100%, of course. I put in a Wilson Combat 13 pound hammer spring and the trigger is superb. I'll get a Langdon Centurion in 2021, Lord willing.

It really is one of the best. How many metal frame semis are still in production? How many will be here in the years to come?

I was so pleased to see the X--it was nice to hear Beretta say “this is here to stay.”

It feels so awkward, and I only use it at the range, but I shoot my 92fs more accurately than almost any other 9mm pistol I own (my P210 being the only exception).
