I just picked up at the FFL a Beretta 84BB which I bought from Palmetto State Armory for $300.
It's quite a nice little pistol. I can't wait to shoot it!

chellim1Is this considered an old thread? It's less than a year old. If so...

92fstechOld thread, but since I posted last year figured I might as well update.
I ended up selling my 81 earlier this year to help fund another P229 and optic for carry. That Beretta was languishing in the safe and just taking up space. It was a very nice little pistol, but just not something I ever envisioned myself carrying as it offered no benefits over a whole bunch of other guns that I own. I didn't even shoot it much because trying to recover all my .32 brass was a pain. I'm now down to a single .32...a Smith 31 in .32 S&W long that'll also shoot ACP in a pinch.
The Cheetah is one of those nostalgic platforms that was great for it's time but no longer makes much practical sense. I just wish the newer more practical stuff was made to the same degree of quality that Beretta put into those guns.

I sold a Beretta 71 after buying an 86. However, being here in California I doubt mine was yours in a past life.
Sigs and Non-Sigs: I enjoy having options!

mrprovyPosting pictures here never works for me, so here's a link...
https://www.reddit.com/r/Brown...irearms/s/wPQQnyNZeX1983 Browning BDA-380 in fantastic condition, FN marked and manufactured by Beretta (almost the same as a model 84).
The only tying I don't like about these are that FN/Browning & Beretta got the guns backwards; Beretta put a frame safety on their guns and their slide safety on the Browning guns

chellim1I took the new-to-me 40 year old Beretta 84 to the range yesterday. It feels nice in the hand. It's a double stack, so it handles and feels like a larger pistol.
It shoots well. Nice groupings, but it shoots a little high. You have to compensate by aiming low, 6 o'clock at the 8 ring.
This is 3 groupings of 10.
The first two are on the right target. The first group is high. On the 2nd and 3rd groups I compensated by aiming low.

I picked mine up this week.
Your's certainly looks better; mine has a bit of holster wear on the slide.
Although the barrel has very little wear on it.
Did you find a way to date the firearm?
I have no idea when mine was made.

triaxleI have a Beretta 84 , with the wood grips , never had a problem , ever carry in a leather open top holster bought a few ex mags when I see them , seems good to go .

pedropcolaI used to have an 84. Still have a new nickel 85 with a spare 32 barrel. Perhaps one of the most beautiful families of guns ever built. I love the Cheetahs. Shoot them next to a locked breech 380 though and it’s night and day difference. Hence the 32 barrel.

1lowlifeWhen I contacted Bereetta USA, they could not date my 84BB, and they stated they would forward my email to Itlay and see what happens.
I received an email from Italy today with a manufacturing date..
