My captured x5 assemblies both had a binding issue causing oob failures. Sig said break-in blah blah blah but both x5’s became perfect after going to the new guide rod and 1911 springs.
It would be easier to assemble but my .02, may cause function issues.

Very difficult for me to reassemble, once it is out. Can you use the aftermarket DPM Systems Recoil Assembly meant for the full size p320 with a 4.70 barrel, even though the p320 X5 Legion has a 5 inch barrel. If not, any advice on how to put the recoil spring with full length guide rod back in the Legion. I'm 79 years old and don't have a lot of strength in my hands.
Thanks,
Jay

My guess is that X5 recoil spring you have is a 16-17lb spring.
My P320F likes a 13lb spring for 115gr range ammo.
Why not try a 13lb spring ?
Mine is easy to reassemble.
The best deal on tuner's spring kits is from Taylor Tactical.
