Small update. SIG was able to get the gun apart. Yep bulged barrel. I contacted Fiocchi and shipped back the ammo I had left. I will pay for a new barrel and they will reimburse me for it. Now do I go with threaded barrel or the standard barrel. Hmmmm. "da evil Count Glockula."-Para

Yep, I've seen 3 squibs over the years, and all 3 were different brands of ammo. We just had one last week at the academy with Winchester White Box 124 grain 9mm. I was standing directly behind the cadet when it happened, and luckily I noticed the weak report and unusual puff of smoke so stopped him before he could tap/rack and make it worse. The very tip of the nose of the FMJ bullet was just barely protruding from the front of the barrel, and had to be hammered out from the chamber end.

Thank you for the update. It's always good to learn how these turn out. “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. It is only a drill. If it had been a real life, you would have been given instructions about where to go and what to do.

I have seen squibs but they have always been reloads. Never seen a bulged barrel in real life. That sure does look like your problem is solved. Lol

Really glad you are OK ... could have been worse. Speaks to the integrity of the design. Thanks for the update. MPrimo Sigs, Glocks, 1911s, M&Ps ... well, you get the point!
