Cool. Hogue at one time made aluminum checkered grips for the European P220. They cancelled them for twelve years or so, but decided to start making them earlier this year. If you shop around (anywhere but Optics Planet) there may still be some in stock.

If you are able to find some of the old Bakelite style plastic grips, be sure to try to find the lanyard loop that came with them if your wood grips didn't come so equipped. The loop fills the gap in the grips, and if it is not in place, the grips will crack when properly torqued.

Your 9mm would also make a great host for the 7.65mm barrel, or you could just as easily convert it to .38 Super with just the barrel and some magazines.

As far as the grip, to me it looks like it belongs so maybe this was one of the the rare wood grips on an old Sig. Next time I take it apart I may take the grips off and see if there are any markings on them.
The early wood grips were Siles.

Long time, no talk! Hope all is well.

I’m not sure if I’ve cornered the market on pistols, but, I have been working on accumulating thumb release mags. Pricey little suckers add up, especially since I like to have at least five per.

Figure if I can find a nice P75 at a reasonable price, I’ll be done. There was one up for auction recently that went for over $3K, which is insane...Link

A P75 is also on my grail list, but I think a civlian "Montage Suisse" 9mm P220 is more of a unicorn and harder to find. I missed out on one of those for less than $1,000 in excellent shape.Frown

Edelweiss Arms gets P75s periodically. I think the last few were in the $1,400-$1,600 range. But maybe you were the one who originally told me about Edelweiss.

Yeah, I've never really regretted selling any firearms, but, in hindsight I wish I held onto my Montage Suisse 220. Really clean with no import marks. At the time I sold it, they were still popping up on GB at reasonable prices.

I might've mentioned Edelweiss. I keep an eye on their inventory, but their prices are a bit more than I would want to spend based on their pics.

Of course, now you can find P75s, while the civvie Swiss 220s have dried up...
