West German, 1990. I believe this was on the tail end of 100% German production before unification.
I'd been keeping an eye open for a good deal on one of these, when this one came up I couldn't resist. It makes me happy.

I tried to embed a pic but am too puter stupid. Imgur changed how they do things since I last used it a few years ago and I couldn't figure it out, so this is what I got. Sorry. I hate pic links.

Very nice.
I had a nice WG P220 years ago, which I foolishly sold to buy something else.
But that is how things went back then. Cool

Here is your pic, the gun is very clean... Big Grin

Congratulations on your new P-220.

That is my very favorite vintage right there.

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

Great pic, I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

As evidenced by the rebounding hammer and dovetailed front sight, your pistol is a bit newer than 1990. A KA coded P220 would have shipped from the factory with the earlier spur type, non-rebounding hammer and an integral front sight. SIG produced P220's in Germany for several years after the wall came tumbling down. Interestingly, slides were still stamped "W. Germany" until the mid to late 1990's.

That’s a beaut’ right there.

I would have scooped that up, too, in that condition and I’ve never owned or shot a P220.

Adds to list…

If anyone has any factory P239 .357 SIG +1 mag extensions, I need (5) of them. Email in profile thx!

Good points.
My 1991 had a dovetail sight and a spur hammer.
I should have held on to it just for the sake of being a collector.

The one on the right.

Good looking 220. I've started carrying one recently I picked-up a few weeks ago. I shot it again yesterday and the very first round shot DA hit the center dot I was aiming at. Target was about 9 yards. I don't normally shoot that good, so it was definitely the gun.

Here's my 1995. No idea the history or why it has a few Nickel parts.

Pics are GIGANTIC!

Guys, If you use imgur to post images here, please make them smaller by putting an “h” immediately before the “.jpeg”. Just quote my post here and the image address will show you what I’m talking about.
