I received my full-size P320 .45 ACP back from SIG yesterday. Total turn-around time door to door was about 3 1/2 weeks. I also have a compact P320 9 mm that I have not yet sent in for comparison. I do not recall any significant difference in trigger function between these two pistols before modification.

I have not yet shot the modified pistol. I have dry fired the two for comparison many times. The trigger reach for the new trigger is about identical. The new trigger is a bit narrower side to side and the contour is actually a little more comfortable than the "adverse" trigger on my 9 mm compact, not that I had any issues with the original trigger.

The pre-travel distance feels the same but for whatever reason, the pre-travel on the modified trigger is significantly smoother. The quality of the break also feels the same, although I believe the trigger pull weight for the modified trigger is slightly less than that of the original. I do not notice much difference in reset between the two. Both have a pretty distinct and audible reset. The double click on the modified pistol is gone, of course.

I don't notice much difference when it comes to removing the slide but I agree that reassembly is a bit fiddly. I have to push the disconnector down while holding the trigger forward to get the slide back on the frame. Not a big deal, but a definite difference.

I have not noticed any scratches or other damage. I shipped the pistol to SIG in a cardboard "red" box that I happened to have for a CPO pistol I bought, and it came back in a SIG hard case.

4 of 5 sent out and returned. Received info 10/30, 4 back in my hands by 11/15. All four came back in new pistol cases, stickers, one with a new P320 patch.
So far, a painless, easy process.

Guns: All cleaned, trigger pull is same or better than the original, possibly less creep. I don't love the actual trigger shape/feel, but I had the original ones replaced w/ GG triggers, rods, & springs (which I removed prior to sending). Rods are back in, waiting for the GG info on the new triggers & action work. No discernable difference in performance - it goes bang, and hits where aimed. Can't ask for more.

In the end, this was a bit of an inconvenience. I'm glad this problem was found and corrected. Sig handled as best as they could, no complaints. I'm keeping the platform, I'm not selling or trading, I'm very happy with the 320s.

For those that have shipped theirs, did you fully box pack and seal it and just drop it off, or does FedEx make you use one of their boxes? Did you have to declare the firearm to them, and/or did they ask at all?

I handed the Fedex representative the SIG provided label. It contains all the information that they need. He didn't ask what was in the case but seemed to already know. I'm sure I wasn't the first one to bring one in for shipping.

I came in with just the SIG polymer case as I didn't have a box and figured I'd have to buy one from Fedex. The representative said the label indicated that SIG pays for a box, so it was free. The representative placed the SIG case into their box and sealed it. Took all of 5 minutes.

Beware of a man whose only pistol is a 1911, he's probably very good with it.

Packed mine in reinforced cardboard boxes, no gun cases - used packing material to insure no movement or damage(used air-filled/sealed plastic shipping material).

Taped all closed, including labels inside and out. Dropped off at FedEx, no questions, no problems.

I registered my compact 40 in August. I finally got the label Friday evening. I dropped it at FedEx just before they closed and SIG received it today.

Finally took out my "voluntarily upgraded" Carry and Fullsize P320s. The new trigger on both is excellent. Nice audible and tactile sear reset click makes it easy to ride the sear on every shot. They both functioned flawlessly and were very pleasant to shoot...just as I remembered they were! They are still my favorite pistols...even more so now! For me, their ergo's are superb and couldn't be more perfectly shaped for my hands. Recoil is easily managed and their muzzles snap right back onto target. Looking forward to getting back my Subcompact/Compact hybrid from Sig after it is upgraded too! I'm a happy camper again! Smile

Just shipped mine back today. I put that little orange doohickey in the chamber that shows that there’s not round in the chamber in it and used the original case. At the FedEx office I grabbed one of the free large flat boxes from Fedex and wadded up a couple of their bubble mailers to pad the ends of the box on the inside then slid my Sig case inside and sealed it up. Then I went In and presented my return label. They didn’t give me any crap about it being a gun for once and I was out of there in less than 2 minutes.

I hooe the return process is just as painless- not just for me but for everyone who is shipping their P320 back.

Thanks, I was thinking of going this route also but my office is pretty small and the boxes are like 10ft from the desk, and it's usually not busy. Did you box it up right in the office or will they let you grab the boxes and bring them out to your car? That seems like it'd be even more shady though, lol.

I'm sure I'll be doing some online black friday shopping, maybe I'll just wait for my packages to arrive and hope I get a box the right size.

Shot my post recall 320 Compact (I still have another that I haven't received an email to send in yet) today and had some issues.

Out of 50rds I had 4 failures to feed which were easily cleared and 1 failure to eject. Ammo was American Eagle 115gr FMJ's

I will re-clean, lube and will try again on my next range trip.

I grabbed the box and took it back to my truck to box it up. Told the lady it was a gun going back for a factory recall and she said it had to go 2-day then she looked at the label and saw that’s what it already was. No problem at all.

Got my two P320s back from SIG. One full size and one compact. Shot them both, no issues, very pleased. I’m glad they did not have to remove the sights to do the slide work. Both were dead nuts accurate, as they were before. The triggers are crisp with excellent reset.

Got mine back.

Trigger pull is way better than the original.

I shipped mine out Saturday and was told that it wouldn't leave the store until Monday, checked the tracking and it is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I went to the FedEx store and showed them my label and the guy asked what was being shipped and I said a firearm being sent back for an upgrade. He asked if it was in a case and how big it was and handed me a box which I took out to my vehicle and packed up and put the label on, took it back in and got a receipt. Easy enough, the guy working did say they weren't allowed to pack it for me.

For anyone concerned about how the upgraded P320 shoots or assembles/disassembles, your worries are unnecessary. I got my 9mm P320c back recently but only dry fired it. I thought the trigger was just a little lighter and crisper. The trigger did feel odd compared to the fat original trigger. FWIW, mine is a Gen 2 pistol.

Today I put 150 rds of 115gr BLAZER BRASS though it as fast as I could pull the trigger. The trigger did not sting or cause discomfort as some suggest. It was returned w/o damage of any kind.

A range officer asked if I had a stressful Thanksgiving. I didn't realize what he was asking until he pointed out the two huge holes in the head and center of the target (15 yds). The indoor range is usually dimly lit. It shoots great! Disassembly was not changed. Re-assembly required a little more diligence. All in all, I'm very glad I sent mine in and it's every bit as good as original if not better.

Same here . I was hoping with the holiday now over that I'd get my shipping label today but as usual I got nothing. It's over 2 months for me.
