I've always wanted an all-metal CZ pistol.
Over the years at gun shows, I would handle them, and they felt so good in the hand.
So at today's gun show, I found one that fit the bill.

CZ P-01 Ω Convertible (Omega)

It came DA/SA with the decocker, but included the parts for a cocked and locked safety that replaces the decocker.
Something to do with the Omega trigger.

I'll leave it as is, since I'm used to my WG Sigs.
Sold as used but barely used.
Although it came with the stock rubber grips, the installed aftermarket grips were a nice Texas touch and sealed the deal.
Fiber optic sights with Tritium.
Bought from an independent seller, so no paperwork or tax.
He came down to $700.
Looking forward to range time.

Neat, also they must really like Fort Stockton.

Nice! Congrats. I like the CZs with the thicker dust cover like that and the SP-01

Nice. Yours was made in 2019. I believe the Omega series was discontinued.

No, Google is not my friend.

Thank you for the manufacture date.
I was searching online, trying to find that with no results.

I did read that the gun was discontinued that made me want it even more.

I went to the gun show yesterday in search of a CZ.
Found a few and stood in the corner researching and pricing them, and ended up with this one.

CZ makes some excellent pistols. My favorite is the 75D Compact PCR. I no longer have that one, but do have a military (NATO stock number) P-01 and a P-07. Their only shortcoming is the low-riding slide. Coupled with shallow serrations, the slide can be difficult to grasp for swift racking.

That's a nice pick up! I was addicted to the CZ75 series (until I started collecting the Sig hammer fired guns). If yours is like other CZ75 variants, the trigger may be a bit gritty in the beginning - but just wait until the 300-400 round count. The triggers smooth out then. Or you can send it off to a CZ specialist for a trigger job if you can't wait. Fantastic pointing ergonomics!

Congrats! I think you’re going to really like that gun. After I bought my first CZ, a CZ-75B Omega Convertible, I ended up buying a P-01 Omega and then an SP-01 Tactical. CZ’s are awesome!

There is something very sexy about CZ pistols that other brands just don't have. Beretta is another one like that.

I prefer having at least 3 mags per gun.
I'm having a hard time finding the exact 14-round CZ mag with the thick rubber base on it.

I've been in contact with Greg Cote, who is a great guy to deal with.
Always responsive to emails and usually ships the item the same day as ordered.

I found the base, but no one has it in stock.

CZ 75 COMPACT RUBBER MAG BASE PAD CZ 273199000850

I found a CZ mag, but it is 15rd amd it's uncertain if that base would fit if I did find one, since Mec-gar makes the mag.

CZ 75 COMPACT, CZ PCR, CZ P-01, CZ SHADOW 2 COMPACT 15 RD 9MM OEM FACTORY MAGAZINE WITH THE BLACK FOLLOWER CZ 11123

That base will not fit the newer Mec-Gar mags.

CZ 75 Compact, CZ PCR, CZ P-01, CZ SHADOW 2 COMPACT, CZ Shadow 2 Carry, (Springfield P9 Compact & CZ P-06 see note below) 15 RD 9mm Mec-Gar MGCZCOMP15AFC

At this point, I'm considering just buying 3 Mec-gar 15 rd with the blue follower and stow the original mags.
That way, I could tell them apart from my countless Sig and Beretta mags.
That's what I do with my old Sigs, store the original zipperback and dovetail mags and run Mec-gars at the range.

You picked a great one, a classic. Feels great in the hand, shoots great, carries great, goes bang every time. Nothing you can't love right out of the box.

Very nice.

Cajun Gun Works does a great tune on CZ guns. My P-07 has replaced my 229 in EDC rotation.

Yes, I was looking at the CZ polymer offerings and figured I'd just keep my Glocks. Eek

I’ve got a Cajunized PCR that’s in the carry rotation and one of my favorite guns to shoot at the range. The Shadow 2 Carry is next up on my list of purchases and I expect it to be a CCW gun that I carry often.
