Thanks, ensigmatic. With the action tune on the CZ they are within $100 of each other. At least where I have been pricing them. “There is love in me the likes of which you’ve never seen. There is rage in me the likes of which should never escape." —Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

My bad. You did specify "Custom." Have you had an opportunity to fondle either? Or at least fondled/shot both Sigs and CZ'? I think I'd almost have to flip a coin I'll say this: I thought I wanted a P229 .357 Sig. Now the Shadow 2 & P210A owners got me thinking a 9mm tack-driver would be more interesting <smh> "America is at that awkward stage. I own, and have shot, a fair number of SIGS, including SAO. Not a P210 though. Have not had the opportunity to handle any of CZ's offerings. “There is love in me the likes of which you’ve never seen. There is rage in me the likes of which should never escape." —Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

Might be good idea to check some out before making a decision, then. I mentioned, somewhere, that one of the best groups I ever shot was with a CZ 75B I'd never shot, or even touched, before. That's what would make the decision more difficult for me. But that's me. "America is at that awkward stage. I considered the same choice recently - SIG P210A or a CZ Shadow 2. I went with the Shadow 2 and I’ve been very pleased with my choice. The Shadow 2 is a great pistol, which costs significantly less than the P210 and enjoys considerable aftermarket support. Also, for me personally, I decided I was going to take a break from SIG firearms for awhile. I have several nice SIGs including an X Five. I’ve fired a couple of P210s over the years, and they were ok, but just didn’t like them enough to want to buy one. YMMV. You can’t go wrong with either one. _________________________ 2nd Amendment Defender The Second Amendment is not about hunting or sport shooting.

I passed on a Shadow Blue a couple of months back; if it had been SAO that probably would not have happened. For me a DA/SA trigger is not my ideal for a target type of handgun. I thoroughly enjoy my Custom Shop Shadow T-SA and would gladly pick up a sweetened full dust cover Shadow if it had a similarly worked over trigger in SAO. I prefer my T-SA over my Legend, though with all that's being said about the P210A and how most think that it's superior to the German P210, I do think that it would be the choice for me this time around.

If I decide my next pistol will be a 9mm tack-driver, I expect I'd go with the CZ Shadow 2 simply because $1500 for a handgun is too rich for me. Heck, that Shadow 2 at ±$1k, would already be pushing my limit. I, too, would prefer SAO. It would seems it's easily possible. Found this:

Yeah, the two are so different. It's like trying to decide between a Chevy sedan and a Ford F150 truck. One is double stack DA/SA. The other is single stack SAO. I'd choose the P210A. P210s of any sort are classic, and I suspect that the P210A will come to be regarded as the best of the breed. Serious about crackers

Both are stellar guns, but with different feel. You have to pick both of them up and handle them, then buy the one that feels best in your hands.
