I had a 220 frame that I stole the slide off of for a project. Initially I had found a 220 match slide on Numrich, but ended up putting it on a 227 frame. So.. what to do with this frame? Ended up finding a stripped carry slide off eBay for $250. Ill let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Still waiting on a threaded carry barrel from bar-sto. Slide and frame are cerakote that I did.

Nice!

I managed to get a P227 SAS slide and put it on a P220 from West Germany.

The other part of that was to make the P227 SAS run on .38 Super.

It also takes 2011 magazines.

Fun project. It ran well? I still need to pickup a .38 super…

This was a bit of my inspiration for this one, it’s a little heavier and better looking, but no guilt hammering rounds through my build!

Very nice job, P220 Carry is a favorite of mine, I picked up a NIB SAO version several years back, it's one I don't think I'll part with until I have to...

Like the grips you put on yours.

Beauty ^^^ I haven’t seen very many carry SAO’s except legions.

I made the mistake of purchasing a 220 carry sse. That pistol kind of changed my entire thinking on steel pistols and carry 220s. They’re quite addicting.

Looks good!

With mine the 2011 magazine in the P227 frame fed better and made a good spec to alter my 10 round magazines.

The 2011 magazine also holds 35 rounds and was cheaper than a 14 rounder. Big Grin

Is there really a 35 round 45 magazine? Or is that 38 super? Either way I assume you mean 25 round.

Nine years to retirement! Just waiting!

This is the first I’ve heard of a 2011 mag fitting a 227. What brand. Here is the match 227 I’m putting together. It’s not up and running yet, hit a bit of a roadblock.
