I have a mint 92 SS compact that I can't stand the sights. Wilson used to dovetail the front sights, others drilled and installed an FO. Who still does this work?

When it comes to the Beretta 92, call Ernest Langdon at langdontactical.com A superior pilot is best defined as one who uses his superior judgment to avoid situations requiring the use of his superior skill.

Installing dovetail front sights literally anyone, yourself included, can do. As for drilling a fixed front sight I used a guy who goes by WAL on that other forum that starts with a B. He does nice work. It’s still not as good as a dovetail front but it certainly is a great option if you don’t have a dovetail.

I had Wilson Combat drill the fixed front sight on my M9A1. I think it was $50 and the turnaround was within a week or two. https://www.wilsoncombat.com/w...WorkForm_Beretta.pdf ![]() ![]() ![]() Changing out the rear sight is very simple. A vise, brass punch, and a hammer is all you need. I've changed out most factory rears on mine to WC's U-notch Battlesight (above). I prefer it over Langdon's square notch.

Allegheny in PA drilled-out and installed an LED. It got lost when I had CCR refinish my Beretta, but I replaced it myself (okay, took two tries, but LED is cheap).

You almost surely mean fiber-optic, Batty. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode and requires a battery someplace on the gun. I have an old 92 Compact which fits my hand just perfectly. I keep looking for the 92X Compact since I think it is the first Compact with the front dovetail, and I want to check out the Vertex grip on a Compact. Perhaps the OP's stainless one has the dovetail. I'd like to know and welcome any info. Bart Noir What? Slide lock already?

You might try ToolTech gunsight in Michigan: http://tooltechgunsight.com/ Illinois Concealed Carry Firearms Instructor, NRA Certified Pistol and CCW Instructor, Firearms Expert Witness - Fraternal Order of Police ************************************************************************************************************* "Civilian marksmanship was appalling, for a population obsessed with guns." - Lee Child, "A Wanted Man"

My front sight is part of the slide. Looks like the favorite option is to drill thru them and install an FO rod..

I used Tooltech Gunsights in Michigan years ago for my Trijicons. I thought they were pricey back then but even more so now. Link> http://tooltechgunsight.com/pr...-w-existing-tritium/
