Haven't bought a gun in over a year, how about you.
I tend to buy mostly used guns so I don't really control the timing. And when I do see something that interests me it has to be really clean and a "Good" deal.

From 2022 to the summer of 2025, I neither bought nor shot any guns. But since then, I've purchased one rimfire rifle, four centerfire rifles (sold one, but have another on order), one PCC, one shotgun and two handguns. The rifles got (or will get) scopes or red dots.

Not counting the few I inherited last year; About 3 years since last purchase; a S&W "Lady Smith" 60-14. This .357 pocket cary is just about perfect for me. I love it.

I'd say I'm good with "Heatin' Irons" for the foreseeable future. Honestly, I've got a few I'd like to sell, but can't bear to go thru the PITA (Or, loss if I took them to LGS).

Got a rifle for free that I didn't want and traded it towards another Glock since I didn't have a gen 6. Just that and a RMR for it. Last one before that was a P365 maybe 3 years ago now. Nothing on the market I want enough except a B&T tp9 when they come back or if HK does end up selling the sp7.

In the past 7 years, I've bought 3 guns. There's just nothing that gets me excited, and I'm happy with what I have.

IMO the fewer guns you have, the better you know each of them. My shooters:

Plus some safe queens purchased when I didn’t know anything about guns. The most recent purchase was the Beretta several years ago. I don’t expect to be buying any more guns.

Last gun I bought was in Feb 2025, a Glock 42.

I have been pairing down my collection in recent years. I am not sure I remember the last gun that I purchased, likely a Colt Anaconda several years ago. Very little has peaked my interest lately with only one I know I will be adding soon. While the Gen6 Glock is on the list and will likely end up in my safe it’s not really an urgent want.

Always on the lookout for a used CZ 457 to strip the action for a new benchrest build but the last gun I "went there to buy" was a P-365 in the Spring.

I retired in September of last year.
Since then, I've bought;
3 Berettas - Italian INOX 92FS, Surplus 84BB, and a used INOX Model 21A
A Ruger RXM, which I sold to finance my Gen 6 G19 COA
Traded the Gen 6 G19 COA for a Gen 6 G45 with an RMR
A used CZ 75 SP-01 Omega, installed a CGW trigger kit
A G43X MOS with a Grit Grips frame and OSight optic
And now I'm researching my first AR purchase. Big Grin

The last gun I purchased was a Gen 6 Glock 19 back in April of this year, just because. The last gun I purchased prior to that was in October 2017, a 1988 P220. Still have some range ammo from stocking up just before Obama. Don't do much shooting these days.

After not having purchased a firearm in years, last month I bought a new P-365X Macro and a new to me Remington 1100 12 ga. semi auto. The SIG will be my new EDC (my training has commenced) and the 1100 has been a life-long want (I will use it for hunting and sporadically sporting clays, which I've been doing more of).

Picked up a full size Ruger RXM a few months back. I like it a lot. Other than that, nope. Still drop in the LGS once or twice a month, just to see if anything silly that I want has shown up on the used rack. Would like a 6 inch barrel N frame, no stupid lock of course. And a Ruger P89 stainless, just for nostalgia. So, maybe?

For about 30 years I bought one gun a year. I collected and trained. I realized I was proficient and could protect myself and my family. I no longer feel the need for more. It’s all about shot placement and timing.

Last gun I bought was a P365 about a year ago--probably more. Prior to that I bought a P320 because CA let me do it; a CMP Master Shop Garand in .308, and a CZ Varmint MTR. Four great firearms--and I haven't shot one of them!!
My CCW just expired; now I've moved to another county in CA I'll have to apply over again.

My life has been too busy for hobbies the last year. Fortunately not about health, just moving, selling two houses, buying two.

My last gun purchase was a HK MR223 a year ago this August and it was exhausting.
The politicians in California have made it very difficult to enjoy this hobby anymore. I don't see any further gun purchases while we are stuck here, same with any gun parts or accessories. Frown

My current and future interest in buying handguns lies exclusively with revolvers. I have enough tactical semi-automatic pistols to last me ten lifetimes, and I decline to jump on the current fad that says I need a red dot, meaning I need to replace the pistols I have with optics-ready clones. Instead I am buying classic revolvers that I always wanted, but either couldn't find, or couldn't afford. In my area, it seems like maybe some older owners are dying off and their heirs don't want Dad's revolvers. In the past year I have scored very good deals locally on a half dozen S&W and Colt revolvers in excellent condition.

It's been a couple. My dealer closed and moved to Texas, thanks to a 3 day wait period. It's not for lack of trying, it's just that they're rarer ( like the Kahr MK9 Elite03 Big Grin ) and that I would have to do more work than just window shop on Saturdays). It's now more about taking care of the current collection and organizing, always organizing, and improving on the skills with the tools I have. Less hardware, more software. However, I'm always prepared for a worthwhile rescue.
