Hello,
Here are two of my SIG P365 series pistols. I have one more P365XL that is new in the box. She is in the safe and didn’t come out for the photo session. These two I shoot periodically.

I almost sold my P365’s, but I think I have talked myself out of it. I’m an avid Hk guy, so these just aren’t up to that level. Of course it’s only my opinion. But these pistols do have some great qualities….and some not so great qualities too.

My favorite thing is that I love the modularity of these pistols. Nothing but the trigger group is serialized, which means I can replace and swap around at will and it won’t be mismatched. I just need to get a slide/barrel for an “X” or “XL” and I can swap things around at will. Pretty neat!

I like the round capacity for the size of these pistols. I HATE loading them, and putting a loaded mag in the pistol. But, I guess sacrifices have to be done for the round capacity.

I don’t like the area under the barrel getting chewed up. What in all Hell is that about?

My mags haven’t done this, but I understand rust is a real problem with them.

They shoot really well. No complaints there. I shoot well with both models.

You need the UpLULA, you don't have one already. It's a must have for every P365 owner.

Yep!!!! Actually, I do have one and that’s what I use on these when I’m almost finished loading them.

Since moving to Florida, I've transitioned to the P365 platform as my main CCW's. They are much smaller and easier to conceal under light clothes.

I swapped out both grip modules for Wilson Combat modules. I turned my 12 round 365XL into a 17 round X-macro using Wilson's short rail module so I could use the same holsters.

I put Wilson's 12 round XL module on my 365, turning it into a 365X.

I download my mags by one round which makes it easier to load a magazine into the gun when there's a round in the chamber.

A pair of Holosun EPS Carrys will be next.

+1 on the Wilson Combat grip modules. I put them on my 365 and 365XL. First off they allow you to use the 17 round mags and secondly they are a more ergonomic grip.

Note that these will not work on the old 10 round 365 mags. You need 12, 15, 17 or 21 round mags.

What “area under the barrel” gets chewed up? I mean barrel finishes wear on all guns. I is confused.

All these itty bitty nine’s are a bear to load those last couple rounds especially when new. Even I, who scoffed at all of you “weak of thumb” was cut low and forced to use a tool for that last round on my itty bitty mags. Frown. The Hellcat Pro and the CC9 have settled in nicely and can be hand loaded now but early on. Damn!! Smile

As for the rust issues I would an assume a quick wipe down when the gun goes back into the safe and a good mag cleaning and wipe down after shooting or handling would alleviate this. While I think SIG has an issue with cheapening out on their finishes I also think some folk’s guns never see a wipe down with anything but sweat and finger prints.

What slinger said. The 3 issues you mention are not much as "issues" go. That tiny spot is not "chewed up". Rust on the mags hasn't happened to me and I live in Florida. I also believe in simple preventative measures so that might play a part in the lack of rust as well. As for mag stiffness that is a massive WGAS. If it was stiff and malfunctioned then it becomes an issue but they don't. It is a tiny mag that holds a bunch of rounds. Until Tactical Magazine loading becomes a thing I don't mind using an Uplula and all mags become easy to load. I even added the MagGuts innards and now have 2 additional rounds in the same tiny tube. Uplula for sure.

I somehow ended up with a bunch of these because I enjoy mixing up the components. Shoot, recently I have been eyeing the AXG grip module. Why? I have no earthly idea. Great guns and thanks for the pictures, you have a nice set.

I have a Macro and I like it a lot. Now good weather is starting up I want to go a little smaller.

Plan on buying a 365 and putting the Wilson XL grip module on it.

I've had an XL for several years, carry it daily and live in a hot and humid climate.
I've had zero rust problems with any parts of the gun.
The mark on the underside of the barrel is from the last coil (the coil end) of the spring and the end apparently sticks out very slightly in operation. Mine has the mark but that's all it is, a mark on the black finish.
I've considered the HK but decided it doesn't really offer anything I don't already have for a carry gun.
Great size, capacity, reliability, and accuracy.

The mark under the barrel looks minor now, I agree. I’ve seen some that are worse, almost a small chewed in appearance looking area. It’s cosmetic I know, and I’m making more of it than I should I guess. Hopefully it won’t get worse. If so I guess I can always get another barrel. That’s the cool thing about these, you can replace and change out parts at will.

I mean, they are good guns. Just had those issues that bothered me I guess. They shoot really well too.
