This one is the tactical model that will be wearing a can full time. My plan is to strip off the rail and sights. I have a MaddMacs dovetail mount on a similar MKIII build and without a better idea I plan to use that again. http://maddmacsprecisiontactic...omviperrazorreg.html

Let’s keep it in the $150 range if possible.

I just picked up a MK IV 22/45, I plan on mounting an RMR on it. I realize this is not in your budget, I just happen to have one laying around.

I went with a Lobos Industries mount.

I'm interested to see what you end up with.

I've got a Lobos Industries mount with a Holosun 407c on my MkIV. I've been very happy with it...much lower-profile than the factory rail.

I bought the same one but for a different optic. Fantastic mount. Looks like it was grown not manufactured. I’m about to get a Dead Air Mask. Is that about the best choice?

Lobos with Burris Fastfire 3. Think I just had the Burris sitting around, so I used it.

During one of the last Christmas sales, I got a Vortex defender CCW green dot for $199. They come with a pic rail mount. Like it a lot.

IIRC it's a Crimson Trace dot I bought because it was on sale on a Tandomkross mount.
A gun I bought off Gunbrokeme on a lark, I threw a $125 bid at it, NEVER expecting to win. I have more in the sight, mount and trigger than I do in the gun.

Before I bought the mount, I didn't like how high it was this way.

(yes I know it's not a MrkIV but I figured the question was more about the sight than the frame)

I have the Holosun on my Buckmark and just a TruGlo on my Ruger MKIV/45. The TruGLo is WAY easier to get on target.

I’ve got a Ruger 22/45 Lite, it’s the version they used to make with an RMR mount on the top rail. I’ve got a Holuson 407K on it that I’ve been happy with.

That is where I started on the MKIII between the rail and adapter plate it was so danged high it drove me crazy with the offset.

I like the Defender well enough but if there is a better choice out there I’m willing to try it.

I’ve got an old style C-More on an Alchin mount on a MKIV Lite. It has an 8 MOA dot.

If I did it again, I’d put a Holosun 507 Comp on it. Durability, battery commonality and ease of battery change.

It now has a stainless Corvette comp on it. Adds a bit of weight and makes it a little louder for the shot timer to pick up.

I have the Holosun using the Lobos mount, pretty much identical to 92fstech's. In fact, his previous thread when he was putting it together got me started. Like. others have commented, I like how low it sits.

This was my initial experiment with red dots, and has been working out well for me.

this has been a lot easier on my aging eyes than the Hiviz I was using previously.

Lol, "grown not manufactured" is a great description. It's probably the slickest optic mount I've ever seen.

I've never shot through a Dead Air Mask, but I've heard nothing but good things. I do know they were having some corporate issues at one point...I think P220 Smudge was following it pretty closely. You might check with him before ordering to make sure those have been resolved.

I have the Silencer Shop 22/45 and threw what I had laying around on top, nothing special. It’s a Vortex Venom. I’ll most likely switch it out for a EoTech RDS or some sort of closed red dot optic.

I just put a Lobos mount topped with an RMR on my Ruger MKIV Target a couple of days ago. I haven't had a chance to sight it in yet, but that Lobos mount has got to be the most elegant mounting solution out there. It looks like it is part of the gun.
