So I picked up a couple of these in 97, fired one of them, this one has exactly 180 rds down the pipe, why am I see seeing this wear on the frame and slide in one place? Yes I have many of these and never seen wear like this. I keep these lubed with grease, a lot more than needed. Thoughts? This message has been edited. Last edited by: titan7,
Yes you can. Just need a photo hosting site, like postimage.org. From there you can post your pics on here. You can't upload pics from your computer directly onto here.

I've seen quite a few W. German 220's and 226's with that very same wear spot. I have a 226 with a U118 serial prefix and stamped slide with the same wear.

Are you guys seeing the images in his first post w/ the broken image link? I'm using firefox and right clicking on it to "open image in new tab" shows two more pics.

Here are the two additional images. Everything appears a-okay.

If there were a problem, such as a bur, is running a Q-tip along the rail or other areas a legitimate way to find it? Or maybe it's just a peak in the surface that that causes extra wear?
