Just acquired a very nice Sig P210-2 in 9mm. Trying to determine date of manufacture.
S/N P 56457. I removed grips and one dated 2/62 and other dated 6/61. Any help apreciated.

OK looked at chart but nothing specific to my S/N?
Saw some P210-1 with lower S/N made on early 60's.

The dates on those grip panels suggest it is an early 1960s pistol. These are the standard black plastic P210 grip panels?

If your pistol is not accompanied by a test target or has not been compared with the SIG shipping logs, you will only be able to estimate the delivery dates. From my data, which is based on the same sources as larvatus, one can estimate a production date between 1963 and 1965. Unfortunately there is no better information.

Yes standard black plastic grips. Well I agree early to mid 60's. Very nice shooting pistol though the trigger can surprise you ....

You can't directly post photos, they have to be externally hosted on something like postimg & linked from there.

Instruction for Flickr, but similar for most hosting platforms
