This thing is TINY!!

I went into my local fun store and a 380 came home with me.

It came with 4 mags, 2 10 rd and 2 12 rd for $450. That seemed fair to me.

Anyone here have one of these?

Is there a threaded barrel available for these?

There is an entire discussion on the brand-specific forum on the BG2. Many complaints. Many praises.

So you’re saying I should join a different forum to discuss this gun?

I got one in black about a year, or so, ago. Put about 350 rounds through it so far and haven't had any issues.

I got one "about" 2 years or so ago shortly after they became available and it has been absolutely perfect. I got rid of my J-frame Smiths a few years before that and bought Ruger LCRs to replace them (no regrets) but now, I stick the little Bodyguard 2.0 in a pocket holster rather than one of the LCRs. Works good, easy to maintain and the 380 with modern ammo ain't no slouch. When actually out and about, going here, going there, in and out of the Pilot, in various stores, or at the gas station, I carry a Glock 43X or a P365, but around the house, yard, pool and neighborhood, I feel pretty good about the little Bodyguard's ability to protect me.

The Lovely Girlfriend has a Bodyguard — I believe it’s a 2.0. We’re planning to get some time with it this coming weekend.

I’ll be watching here, stickman, to hear about your experiences with it.

I have to alter my grip to keep from getting slide bite, and the rear site notch is too wide, other than that, it’s dynamite. Every time I pick it up, but it makes me smile, it’s just so tiny.

Congrats Stick! Great pocket pistol. I've carried one since the beginning of the year, replaced my 365. I did have an issue with mine out of the box, thought the sights were off, was shooting 2-3" left for anyone who tried it. Tapped the sights, absolutely no change. Contacted S&W, they provided a shipping label and within a week I had the gun back with a replaced barrel. Shoots POA and very enjoyable to shoot!

I bought an early one and was so impressed I bought another. Both shot left initially. I replaced both sets of sights with True Glows (I believe).
I did have a few hiccups within the first hundred rounds or so. They smoothed out significantly with more shooting.
They feel good in the hand, are accurate and are even fun to shoot. Due to the size (Tiny) it does take some practice to handle administratively. The magazines are hard to load.
S&W came up with a winner.

No. I was only relating that another source of info would add to your knowledge. I was amazed by all the commentary there. I was disappointed by the myriad of complaints, as I had considered buying one after divesting myself of the BG 1.0.

I was of thinking of buying another BG 2.0 since I like mine so well, or maybe a Carry comp.

I've had no problems with mine, but reading the posts on the other forum made me think that I may have been just lucky with mine or that the older (mine is about 2 years old) ones are better or the posters on the other forum are somehow way off key on this little gun (which I doubt).

Regardless, one BG 2.0 that works perfectly is sufficient so I will just keep and use what I already have.

Haven’t bought a new gun in months.

It’s such a good feeling. I’ve got 4 out right now for custom work (all single actions).

Haven’t been able to get excited about anything in a while.

Thinking a Gen 6 G20 would do it for me but that’s probably a couple years away at least.

Little pocket 380's are cool, first carry for me of one was the P3AT from keltec great little carry you never felt it but knew it was there, went bang every time. Buddy wanted it more than I did.... so sold it to him, $100 or so I think which is what I paid for it...

How's that compare to a standard Sig P365 as far as size? I take it just a bit smaller?

I bought a comped model with a safety about a month ago.
Kind of on the fence about it. Ran 100 rounds without a hiccup and the trigger is very nice, arguably even on the light side of desirable in pocket gun. Didn’t have the “shoots left” issue, other than when I induced it. Nicely accurate if you do your part.
But……this SOB is tiny! I have barely medium hands and it feel like a toy gun for a 4 year old. The ergonomics are good, feels much better than those vertical gripped LCPs. Also, the slide is a bit of a challenge to rack, although I’ll own up to having old weaker grip strength. But it’s not the spring is too strong. It’s just the slide is so tiny and the serrations are not the best.
Finally, the safety is the stiffest I have ever encountered on any gun of any size. And of course you have about 1/16” to push down on to disengage. I have sat in front of the TV and worked that whore (with a glove on) for 1 1/2-2 hours without making much progress. I didn’t buy the gun because it had a safety, it’s just the only model they had at the price they were asking, which was fairly cheap. I’m just pretty much going to ignore it.
I don’t see how Hickcock 45 or Honest Outlaw could make this thing work with their big bear paws, but the Outlaw seems to like the damned thing.
And I’m just not sure that the recoil with a 380 and a 11 ounce gun is much better than 9 mm in a gun that weighs 6 or 8 ounces more. Makes you wonder if it’s a worthwhile trade-off
Maybe my will grow on me. Maybe not.

OK a bit smaller is better in these little pocket pistols.
