Outside of their Beretta 96 magazines not working in the Cx4 Storm, all my Mec-Gar mags have been top notch. I think they will do just fine with this. I do wish they'd make some HK magazines and ones for the Walther PPQ/PDP line. __________________________

Um, you do realize there was an emoji "wink" in my post, right? My initial comment was made in jest, partially regarding the so-called "indestructibility" of factory Glock mags with their poly 'armor'. -MG

I find it odd as well. You would think the G43x/G48 magazines would be front and center in the press teaser. Maybe Mec Gar is teaming up with Glock for an OEM 43x/48 magazine that will come standard with new G43x and G48 models. That doesn't make any sense. I read your first post and it looks to me like you just wanted to find a way to bitch.

Depending on the price point, I might get a couple for my 19 just to see. Hard to compete with the Magpul Glock magazine price point, though. And I've beaten the hell out of their 21 round magazines in my IPSC Limited (minor) Glock 34 with no problems at all.

For real? |
Not in stock yet, but our very own Greg Cote has them up on his website. $19. Going to buy a bunch to try at work. https://gregcotellc.com/cart/g...g171800a-p-2514.html Not minority enough!

They'll probably be popular with the gamers assuming basepads and replacement springs and followers will be available. Fitting one more round in there might mean being able to get to 25+1 with an extension and a 3D printed follower.

With those mags, won't you now have to change your factory mag. release as it will get chewed up by metal mags? While it is nice to have options, I don't know why at that price point, some would choose Mec Gar over OEM/Glock mags as they are the same price, for one extra round.

For real? |
You won't have to install a metal mag catch. The mecgar is dimpled, not a slot. I like metal magazines and these are a few bucks cheaper than OEM Glock. I will definitely run a few thousand rounds before using them on duty. Not minority enough!

I saw that yesterday while browsing the Staccato website. I'm sure these new magazines have been thoroughly tested. Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." -- George Orwell

A bit of a thread drift, but this is probably going to be the next handgun I buy, but not for a while.

Yeah, we're guessing that's where all the production went. lol $2499 for the 4", and $2699 for the 4.5" with sight block front sight. Waiting till the 28th to see what trigger options they offer. I kind of like flat triggers now. Not minority enough!

Now for Sig to give up the manufacturing rights to P239 mags so MecGar can give us a ready and reasonable price.

Dream on. The P239 was produced from 1996-2018. If Mec-Gar thought there was money to be made on aftermarket P239 mags, they would have put them out while P239s were still in production. This is as viable as fans of 3rd gen S&W semi-autos hoping Mec-Gar puts out mags for their guns. From Mec-Gar's standpoint, if they introduced a new mag for an out-of-production gun, a small minority of those gun-owners would buy the new mags. After those owners have satisfied their demand, whom is there left to sell to? You don't have any new owners looking to buy mags, so there's no where else for sales to go but down.

Fair enough. A better analogy would have been the viability of Mec Gar putting out P225 magazines, (the latter gun likely surpassing the P239 in popularity by orders of magnitude). "Kachi wa saya no naka ni ari" ("Victory comes while the sword is still in the scabbard")

Thanks for that bubbatime. You got me there. Now let me know when Mec-Gar mags for 10XX or 45XX series or single-stack 9mm come available. And SS:FH is right. Some better examples are P6/P225 or HK P7 series.
