PX4 storm fullsize with the 20rd magazines. HD’s for night sights. Great stock trigger, wonderful once modded. And inexpensive. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Found a local deal on a very lightly used WC Centurion with action tune. I always liked the centurion, think the Wilson sights are great indoor/quick/fast sights, and the trigger is butter. Mission accomplished. Pics coming shortly.

That is a FANTASTIC choice. I think you will love it. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

I have an LTT Beretta with the trigger job and the Wilson Brigidier with the action tune. Both are great guns and you can’t go wrong with either. Both have great triggers and have been 100% reliable. The LTT feels better in my hand and if I could only have one it would be the LTT by the thinnest of margins

I see you bought the gun. Nice pickup. I love my LTT. I paid for the action job.

I have not played with a Langdon, but I can say the Wilson is a sweet, sweet pistol. I love it, the trigger job is smooth as can be. Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

Why not the Beretta M9A3, it’s basically a Langdon with Vertec frame and night sights from the factory. To me a beside gun needs night sights. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

The M9A3 wasn’t on the list. The Wilson’s have night sights. Chris. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

I posted that from the first page, I didn’t see he had gotten a Brig Tac..my bad. My Brig Tac has night sight not night sights. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

Nicely done. Wouldn't have been my choice since I'm not a DA/SA sort of fellow--heck, for me a handgun in general wouldn't have been a primary HD choice at all--but as long as it works for you the universe is good and in synchronicity and balance and all that kind of silly stuff. Those action tune Wilsons are purdy darn sweet. -MG

First pics! Then a couple thoughts: 1) I really like this trigger for a HD gun. It’s got the action tune and it’s butter smooth. I carry a p225a1 with SRT most days or a CZ Custom shop PCR. The Wilson beretta trigger is great but different. I think all the single action triggers are about the same but the double action is longer and smoother but It is lighter with less wall. To me it actually reminds me of an HK LEM trigger. I use to shoot some LEM and liked it for a SD trigger but there is no doubt it is harder to master. The Will beretta DA has a lot of the same benefits in it smooth long pull and you can almost stage it or pre set it. For EDC where it’s draw and most likely fire I like ther shorter more of a clean break sig trigger. For HD where the weapon may be in your hand before you draw I kinda of like the longer smoother easier to stage beretta trigger. 2) love the Wilson sights for this task. Probably not the best target sights, but the orange front with the wider round battle sights feel quick. 3) the x300 fit is absolutely perfect. Runs right against the trigger guard, no wasted space and super easy to access with either the trigger finger or support side thumb.

Gents, I'd go with the P226 and not look back...Beretta's don't get the knod unless worked over by Wilson or Langdon. Wes

Why not? Anyone who can’t pick up a bone stock 92 and shoot a single hole at 7-10 yards is just not a good shooter. 92’s are crazy accurate and very easy to shoot. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

They are all nice choices but for me a little pricey for a bedroom gun. I have a CZ Phantom with an inexpensive laser. 18 + 1 9mm rounds for the huge price of $650 and one of my most accurate guns. __________________Making Good People Helpless . . . I vote for either of the 226 options. I ran a p220 sao for a number of years. I run a USP Tac 9 Now with a can. I prefer the double-action single-action guns for my nightstand gun.

Since Amurr got his gun, I'll throw in my $0.02, going further afield than he was asking. What would I do for a dedicated HD handgun? First, I'm not so sure it would be a handgun. Likely I'd keep a 5.56mm carbine that was shorter than a standard 16" barrel AR handy. My first choice for this, price independent would be an IWI X95 bullpup. Full length 16" barrel in an overall length less than a 10.5" AR. The second choice, more price depended, would be the 10.5" barrel AR. If it had to be a handgun, it would like by a Smith M&P 2.0 full size in .40. The M&Ps work, they have a lot of flexibility in configurations and caliber, and they're priced well.
