Can anyone confirm the vintage of this P226 magazine? It displays a smooth blue-black finish and is stamped "P226" on the floor plate. The dovetailed body is free of markings other than the 5, 10 & 15 numbered witness holes on the spine.

Grok Ai says your mag was made starting in 1984. My mag is identical to yours but my P226 is on the toe. Grok says mine was possibly made by Mec-Gar in the early 90’s. Don’t know if that’s correct?

I thought all the dovetail and zipperback mags were made in Germany. Q should be able to confirm.

Yeah, I have similar mags where the stamping is on the front or back of the floor plate.

The exact year would be difficult to determine, but the magazine pictured above is definitely from the mid-1980s.

I can confirm I have the exact same magazine that came with my JJ 1988 p226. I bought it NIB in 1988.

Do---or do not.
There is no try.

I gifted my 1988 P226 to my brother-in-law and all three of the magazines look like that.
